The lawn had its hair cut yesterday and for today is laundry and dusting day.
We are at 62 for the temp this morning and just might get to 70. Loving these cooler days while it lasts. Have a glorious day what ever you plan to do. For me my plan is to get my household duties done and then sit back and have another cup of one of many favorite flavored coffees I enjoy, while finding another piece to the puzzle. Smiles Gloria
Common sense and a sense of humor are the same thing, moving at different speeds. A sense of humor is just common sense, dancing. ~Clive James, in The Observer, London, as quoted by The Reader's Digest, 1980
I just started this nice summer bird puzzle today as the rain is coming down off and on this morning. We are at 67 for the temp at the moment. Now where is my coffee cup? Nice to have coffee to sip on as one finds pieces to the puzzle. I do believe this will be a nice lazy day doing this and that. Hope your Tuesday is being nice to you. May you have a glorious week. Smiles Gloria
Music Monday! Do you like music? Do you listen to it? Do you dance?
I love Oldies and older Country music and we listen to SiriusXM quite a bit. My girls both like Choir in school. We used to dance all the time but since Hubby's hip surgeries we do not go dancing anymore.
But music will always be one of the keys to my heart. Even though I can't really sing, remember the words or play an instrument. What do you play?
I have videos from when my granddaughters were very young playing all sorts of instruments, horns, drums, etc. Actually, Michelle is now taking virtual guitar lessons from Mexico every week.
Now, if I can just keep my plants alive, I will be happy. I need to turn on the music outside and water them. Monday Blessings to you!
Such a pretty lily in my flower garden. Puts a smile on my face seeing all the lilies in the flower bed of many colors that was planted last fall. My goodness saying the world fall we will be heading into August soon. Really to tell you the truth I am looking forward the fall days. Hope we are blessed with a long colorful fall season. Ha, Ha, I am even wearing today a brown outfit and have a fall amber orange sweater on for it is 57 for the temp at the moment this morning. Loving these cooler days. In the mean time I'am sipping on a nice cup of coffee. Have a Glorious Life doing this and that and I will do the same. Smiles Gloria
A beautiful day to you. Just had to share this picture of the bachelor button plants. I use to have them many years back in the flower gardens. A dear friend gave me some seeds to plant this summer. Looking forward to seeing them once again in the flower garden. Wonder if there is a poem for the bachelor buttons for they are such a smilie flower . Think I will look into that thought. May you have a relaxing weekend. Smiles Gloria
A flower in a scrapbook dried as dry can be but beautiful in its colors a bookmark to eternity ~Terri Guillemets
I am all dressed up for a trip to town on Saturday. Are you going anywhere today? Have any fun plans?
Since we only have 4 dogs, what do you think about getting a new pet? I would like to put netting over the back yard and just let it fly free!
Nothing would be more fun than going dancing this evening. Do you like to dance? We love listening to SiriusXM, 50's Gold, Oldies, and of course lots of Classic old Country Music.
Aren't dreams nice? I guess I will just play in the garden! I sure hope I make you happy as I love being a gardener!
July is way more than half over! July is the month for vacations! July is usually the perfect month for picnics!
If you live in Texas in 2022, July is the best month to leave the state. My DIL and granddaughters have been in Mexico where the days are about 75° and the nights around 55°. Sadly, they have to come back to our HOT weather because school starts soon.
I do hope you are enjoying the month of July with dress up and picnics or that you have been on a lovely vacation. If so. where did you go?
I feel like all I have done is spin my wheels this month... and watered and watered and watered the plants and the grass. If you don't hear from me again, it is because my water bill showed up in the mail and I fainted!
I am sure I will need a day at the beach! Hey, maybe I can bring some water back with me. I wonder how much my car can hold. Any ideas? OK, my plants probably won't like salt water.
Maybe a trip to fresh water like Crater Lake. Can you imagine the cost of gasoline from Oregon to Texas? I guess I'll just have to pay my water bill. However, Multnomah Falls is one of my favorite places.
Love me, love my Teddy Bear. Teddy bears like to go on morning picnics in the summertime, so they can enjoy the sunshine before it it too hot for their furry selve
HAVE sunshiny day love the little reddy bears they make us happy in a world of sadness love and teddy bear love
Welcome to Texas! I wonder how many people moved here, paid way too much for a house, and have nowhere else to go are loving our 109° temperatures with no rain in the near future. I read stories on NextDoor Neighbor all the time about moving companies holding their belongings for more money$$$.
If you live here, I want to know what is for breakfast and what time it is usually ready. Oh, and let me know the address too.
Maybe later in the day, we could swing out over the waves. Now that looks like a lot of fun. Have you ever been in one of those great big swings?
And when the moon comes up, I would love to take a stroll on the beach. That is, unless the mosquitos are as bad there as they are in Texas.
Or we could just sail around in the warm breeze far away from mosquitos. Doesn't that look like fun? Now, back to reality... we start the day in Texas at 82° and at 5:30 in the afternoon in Texas, it is 107°. My garage started at 90° today and was as high as 103° yesterday. Welcome to Texas!
Yesterday I put my knee knockers on and got all ready to run errands in this heat! Bank, Herb Mart, Pack & Post, Rosa's taco Tuesday. You know the usual stuff.
I showered and washed my hair. Do you like my new "do" style? Sure is hard work getting ready to leave the house.
I wasn't even going to work but put on some mascara. Also put on my rings, earrings, and necklace along with my smile of course.
We were only gone a couple of hours and boy, does that heat take a toll on my hair! It was even hard to breathe by the time we got home. All the jewelry came off and after taco salad my tummy was full. Then it was time to read my book.
Even Hubby decided it was too hot to start a project after eating his taco salad and decided to take a nap! Now that Tuesday is over, we have to get dressed again today for the Glaucoma doctor.
Enjoy the fruits of youe labor Blessings for the new week may your week ahead be filled with: Blessings of good health, strength, friendship, kindness, compassion, and love. May God bless you and your loved ones and keep you safe. You are very special Tuesday each day choose… To live by choice, not chance. To make changes, not excuses. To be motivated, not manipulated. To be useful, not used. To excel, not compete. Choose self-esteem, over self pity. Choose to listen to your inner voice. Not the random opinions of others. Each choice you make defines your future choose to be happy
I sure hope you can find a shady spot today because our hot sun can burn the skin quickly here. We are trying to get our watering done in the early morning before 8 am or late night after 7 pm. We set a record of 109 yesterday and today is supposed to be our hottest day. Fires near Glen Rose are extremely hot and causing evacuations. Prayers please for them.
We also try to keep enough water in all the bird baths that are up high or on the ground full for all the animals to get a drink or take a bath.
It is so much fun to watch them make a splash. They don't stay long and then you have to be ready to refill their watering hole.
After all, there are others that might need a drink in this hot weather too. It is always nice to share! SMILE! You might just be on candid camera.
Gosh I hope you had a wonderful weekend! Did you have a party or go to one? Well, I am off to water as we have 3 days of 107° or higher.
The grass is no longer green. It is the color of straw and feels like that when you walk on it too. So no matter how high the water bill is going to be, I must put the sprinkler on in areas with no shade.
I feel so sorry for the birds and bunnies and all of God's creatures. So I have to keep bird baths filled with water and bird seed in the feeders. Hope you can find a cool spot under the trees or in the air conditioner.
