Oh my! What a week it has been and at last there is hope to survive it all. We will be giving out over 40 pies for Thanksgiving so next week will be a very busy one too. I just want you to know that your friendship means the world to me and I planted some flowers for you!
My day off is half over and we have survived the skin check at our yearly doctor visit. Now if we can just survive winter as we seem to have skipped Fall completely. Mid 30's at night with NO SUN and only mid 40's during the day is definitely winter in Texas. Is it February? Did I miss Thanksgiving and Christmas? We are often in the 70's and even 80's during those holidays. I hope you are having a Blessed week. Only 3 more days at work and I'll be back soon.
Still not recovered from yard work (Bulletin post) as my knee is screaming. However, thanks to JustDeb, I got some help from her House Cleaning Fairies. So now, I am wishing you a Good Night and Sweet Dreams.
This is what I wish I was doing on my day off. I spent 2 hours coloring my hair and 3 hours shopping for groceries and wandering around Costco. My paycheck for the whole week is gone.
I think this leaf belongs to you. It blew in my yard. Oh, and I have a bunch of limbs that you can pick up while you are here.
My goodness all this putting up groceries has made me thirsty. Now just a few more things to get done and maybe I can find that book I started reading this weekend.
One of many trees my son, Wayne, trimmed on Sunday. Didn't he do a beautiful job?
Pole saw, chainsaw on a pole, and lots of sore bodies by the time this was finished.
Piles and piles of cutting all over the back yard. We got the front yard picked up before Rbt and I pooped out completely.
Besides the fact that the trailer was full to overflowing "again" after Wayne jumped on it to get it down and no place to put the cutting from the back yard until it gets unloaded.
Now that is what Fall is all about to me! We had 500 acres full of beautiful White Tailed deer and it was the best time of the year. Our freezer was full of meat to last all year long. Now it is slim pickens.
The weekend is almost over. Time to start thinking about the week ahead and work to be done. We are trying to finish trimming a few trees to keep the squirrels off the roof. What do you have planned?
We can all agree it is a beautiful time of year, even if I am sitting here shivering. However, we will be in the 80's all week after today and until the next front makes its way through Texas. I hope you are enjoying your weekend.
I am so happy that October is behind us. The colors in the sky are so amazing this time of year. I know my picture from the back porch isn't as colorful as professional photographers, but I never get tired of MY view!
Now you know I love moon pictures, especially when they are orange in color. Can you imagine taking one as beautiful as that last one in Colorado? I hope you have a fun time dressing up and get lots of candy! Hubby has already been to the store and has his stash hidden. Thanks to Gloria for making my new tag.
Finally Friday evening... work is done this week. I am probably working through the end of the year. There is no way to know when Kelly will find someone to work full time. So I am there until that happens.
Today was another "rain all day while I was at work" day. Started raining after I got there and quit about 30 minutes before I left. We had 1.8" in the rain gauge. Isn't our river pretty in the backyard of very green grass?
After our 2.5" of rain, it is beginning to feel like Fall here. Right now, I have at least 12 things on my list and only about 4 things crossed off. I just keep getting farther behind at home. Does anyone want to pay some of my bills? Oh with their $$$?
Gosh I miss being here every day! You know I love being at work but I miss your posts, your text and hearing your voices. I just can't tell you enough how much your being in my life means to me!!! I'll be back soon. Smile and share your love with others. I miss hearing from you, Nancy!
cinnamon-covered doughnuts, you may feel overjoyed. You may walk outside with a huge smile and wander to the nearest café for a warm brew. In those moments, You either love pumpkin coffee season, or you're wrong
I'd like to give you some inspiration for your fall content. My first piece of advice is to use props like colorful leaves, carved pumpkins, and pretty flowers in your pics. Consider following creators with awesome content, too. That's how you can score some of the coolest posts of your pumpkin coffee or your smiling face when you're in the perfect fall mood.
The wind has been blowing these past days so loads of fall leaves are on the ground. Once more is it raking time to pile those leaves and throw oneself onto the pile. Such fun ! Ha Ha
Instead of coffee this morning I have decided to have spot of tea. I am trying for the first time from YOGI tea's an elderberry lemon balm immune & stress blend of tea, as we are at 33 F at the moment, to make my day abit special. May you have a glorious day enjoying your fall day. Smiles Gloria
Perhaps it is while drinking tea that I most of all enjoy the sense of leisure. ~George Gissing, The Private Papers of Henry Ryecroft, 1903
