Good morning. Spring is definitely in the air and color is beginning to return to us. I have a daffodils and forsythia blooming and my saucer magnolia blossoms are about to pop. Now is when we pray winter doesn't decide to show itself again. Whatever the weather, have a marvelous day, my buddy Paula!
Daffies are everywhere. They were Mom's special ones... mine are daisies, plain and inobtrusive. Do you have a favorite? The wind has gone, but it did help dry out the ground a bit. What "frog-stranglers" we had. Have a nice Sunday, dear Paula. *hugs*
Its been a cloudy and cold day here. The wind had a chill to it and I could smell smoke from the fires in Texas. But thankfully they got some snow. I hope you have a wonderful evening. Its supposed to get up to 70* tomorrow. That will be nice. Take care my friend. Hugs, Cheryl
Hi there. Sorry that I'm just now getting on here. Its been a busy day. Went and got blood work done this morning, I have a diabetic doctor appoinment tomorrow morning early, at 8:45 a.m. So I wanted to get that done before I went. Then went to see my son. He didn't have good news when he went and saw his doctor yesterday. He had to get x-rays and found out that up by his knee his leg had moved and its causing a buldge in his leg. And the doctor wasn't happy at all. Anyway he has a choice of either leaving it the way it is and walking with pain or having another surgery to fix the problem. He has to get a CT scan probably next week and he will decide then what he wants to do. Keep him in your prayers. After I visited with my son I went to Walmart and got the things we needed. Then I came home, did the laundry and tried to take a nap, never got the nap taken. Well I hope you had a good day and enjoy your evening. Take care. Hugs, Cheryl
Hi Paula...hope your day has been good..I had to leave early this morning but when I got home I made banana bread and have a roast in the oven...I told a friend on here that one day I was going to put pictures up of me thru the years and things I have done...not so much about me but my family...I had started it some time ago after going through some CD's and just revampted it..Put a pic of my MIL on it for those like you who have been so kind and helped me get through the rough parts...I wont be keeping the page up long as I do like to keep them private...Have a nice night..hugs
I hope your weekend is off to a great start, Paula. It's a windy day here and the sweet gum cones are projectiles of mass destruction! Yikes. Other than the danger of being pelted by those, it's lovely today. Lindy and Melanie came by this morning to get some plants we had for them and for Jenny. Melanie brought me a piece of her snake plant and I potted it. Lindy brought me globe thistle that I planted. Lots of plants being passed around today! Enjoy your afternoon.
Good afternoon. Its a nice and somewhat breezy afternoon here. I had a good day. Its been another busy one. But I sure am glad that tomorrow is Friday. I'm tired.I hope you have had a good day. Went up and saw our son this afternoon. He is doing good. Just getting tired of hanging out on the couch everyday. Well enjoy what is left of your afternoon and have a nice evening. Take care, hugs, Cheryl
Good Morning Paula, glad to hear your hubby is hanging in there and coping as well as he can. Hopefully he can get back in soon to see the cardioligist. Maybe the ablation will help him like it did my brother. I had never heard of it but I'm still in awe after I read how it works and it sure seemed to do the trick.
I enjoyed reading about your part of the world. It seeems rather exotic compared to here. lol. Probably because we don't travel very often and I want to. Still I know we are blessed to have what we do and can't complain about mild Winters really. I still wouldn't mind an "occasional" snow fall. lol.
I love the Celtic music so much too. We attended The Highland Games recently, I may have told you. It was a festival to celebrate Scotland and other Celtic culture. There were games like the Caber toss, which is a show of brute strength. There were traditional foods like haggis (that was hard no from me) and of course the best part was men in kilts and the Celtic music. Last year they had a Falconer who did a demonstration with his Cooper's Hawk. I was mesmerized because I'm obsessed with that kind of thing. lol. Birds of Prey that is, it's all fascinating to me. Mostly I enjoy seeing owls but learning about all birds of prey is fun.
Sorry to hear something got one of your hens. Yes, it's certainly to be expected when we have farm animals but it's sad too. A hawk got one of my girl's hens recently too and they are getting a new one today and a rooster as well. Hoping the rooster isn't too difficult to deal with when he's grown. Yes, we seem to be out fo the gray chilly weather phase for now and I couldnt be happier. We are still cool but the sun makes for pleasant temps by midday each day. My Japanese magnolia and my Camelia tree are both dressed up in lovely pink blooms and what I call Fuschia. It's a really deep, reddish pink. Hope your day is wonderful, Paula!
It's a beautiful day in my neighborhood and hope the same for you. I've got supper ready to cook in the crock pot and the kitchen cleaned up. Now what else can I get in to, Paula???? Enjoy the day, my friend.
Its been a busy day here. Went up to see our son, Trey, he is doing good. He has a check up tomorrow morning that I will be taking him to. Its been a breezy and nice day here today. Tomorrow is supposed to get up to almost 70*. I will most definetly like that. Spring is getting closer. Just to let you know, I may not be on here much this week as I have appoinments on Wednesday and Thursday. So if you don't here from me, I'm okay just busy. Not much else going on. I didn't feel good over the weekend. I think I had a stomach bug. But I'm fine now. Take care my friend and have a good week. Hugs, Cheryl
