The next few days may not allow time for computing so I want to wish you and your loved ones a very happy Christmas now. Lots to do tomorrow in preparation for the big day and then after Christmas is the "collapse and exhale" day of recovery. HAHA Enjoy every moment and make the best memories! Darlene, I'm ready, yes. Tomorrow I will clean bathrooms and vacuum/dust. Everything else is done.
Hello dearest Darlene, Thanks for your beautiful Comment. I'm having great PC-Problems, so it would not perfect to enter in the Contest. I'm very glad, that you like my Page! Your Page is also very, very beautiful!
Thank you, Darlene for your congrats on my page:)♥ Glad you got 2" of snow. I hope it is as beautiful on Christmas Eve as if a fresh fall. Thx for asking about DH. He's 1/3 of the way thru the treatments and so far so good, and we're thankful. Hope all is well at your house and w/your family. It's cold here today, which I love, but Christmas will be warm, which I don't love. Are you playing Christmas carols a lot? They get me going during this busy time.🙂Our daughter's family are coming Christmas Eve; our son's family is in Calif and won't be here. Our g'kids are all scattered from pillar to post now. Sad, but a natural thing. Do you have plans? Have a fun Friday, pal. *hugs*
Welcome to a new week. And for those of us who celebrate, just 9 days until Christmas. This season of celebration goes by way too fast if you ask me. I just love all things Christmas. Have a great day, whatever you'll be doing, Darlene.
A busy Friday,,got most of our cards in the mail. That was my excitement for the day, driving to the post office 5 blocks away. Suppose to be a bit cooler this weekend..possible rain on Sunday..then 60's next week. Maybe we will have winter temps once winter arrives. Have a wonderful weekend 🎄🙂🙂🎄
Good afternoon Darlene. Jellybean was inside briefly this morning. He stayed in the kitchen while I cooked a quick breakfast of sausage and eggs. He was ready to return outside shortly after. I managed to go outside and get the feeders replenished. This week was a blur.
Well, I had a message written and I magically erased it. GGRRRRR. So I'll just say a quick hello and wish you a great rest of the day. Darlene, I have friends back home in Erie who are buried in 4 feet of snow. It's unreal. Stay safe and drive carefully!
It's Beginning to Look A Lot Like Christmas! Enjoy it all:) Darlene, your page is so pretty. I'm lovin' this cold weather, and bet you are, too. Did you get snow? I think I'll wait up, watching for those 2 snowflakes they think we'll get tonite. I love how 2 of them can dance as they fall. lol *hugs* -di
We haven't cooked in several years now..last year it was really busy at Golden Corral..but they offer a lot of items, so I can pick and choose from low carb items. It was very crowded when we got there around noon..but didn't have to wait too long..we are close to 2 Cracker Barrels here.. Just want to enjoy the down time..hubby works Wednesday, and is off till Monday. He will take some vacation days off thru December...only working 1 full week then. We have so much to do here at the house..maybe by Jan 1, it will all be finished..
Hello from a very summery South Australia. It’s just on 1.30pm and the temp is hovering in the low 90’s. Clouds are rolling in with a change coming our way. It’s a clear heat so that’s fine altho’ the wind has stirred up my Hay fever causing lots of sneezing. Put a load through the washing machine this morning and hung it out to dry. Have it back indoors folded and put away. Will be going to church service this evening as I’m rostered on for Reading.
Oh, we don’t celebrate Thanksgiving here in Australia. It’s the wrong season for us as we are in our last month of Spring so harvest of the cereal crops comes next year during our late summer/autumn. In many areas at harvest time they hold a “Blessing of the Harvest”. Our fruit and vegetables are grown all year round depending where you live. Gave a good weekend Darlene. Hugs Pat.
Hi Darlene. So glad it’s you heading into winter and not us. Our temp today is hovering in the mid 60’s and mostly sunny. It’s been a mixed week re weather as during Monday afternoon a storm rolled over with lots of thunder & lightening. The little fur babies were very upset. It’s hard for them to understand what is causing the loud noise. The lightening struck a pine tree just out of town and started a bushfire. The local CFS plus the arial firefighting plane immediately attended to prevent it spreading as the countryside is dry now. Fortunately, the rain began to teem down and put the fire out. Until that happened my thoughts were with the pilot who was flying in the storm. A very brave person indeed.
I saw a Renal Specialist last Saturday re my extreme BP and he has put me on a very strong new medication and warned me of side effects that last 30 hours then begin to ease off so have been taking it very quiet. Each day is an improvement re side effects. Have a pleasant night/day Darlene. Hugs Pat.
Happy Thursday, Darlene. Find joy & many things to smile about today:) We got a sprinkle of rain early morning, then it cleared and has been sunny and too warm the rest of the day. Bah Humbug. I just can't phathom it being near mid November and the AC still running. Each day around 80, night 60. Will never see snow again, me thiMks. Heck, might not see Fall again. Hope you and DH are doing well. *hugs* -di
Hi Darlene. Lamb is a staple diet here as is in NZ also the UK. Lamb is cooked as roasts, grilled B-B-Q, casseroles, Irish stews, pies etc, much the same as beef or pork. The Sunday Roast leg of lamb although not as common as when I grew up it continues to be a tradition here. Mutton/lamb was our main meat when I lived on the farm as it was home grown. We also raised our own pork, chickens and turkeys. Other families raised a few beef cattle but as they required larger areas these are produced more inland on the cattle stations. Equal amounts of lamb, beef and pork are sold in all supermarkets and butcher stores. Sheep have been very important to our economy not just for their meat but also for the wool they produce.
Oh, the previous stove I had was in the Unit when I bought it and it was well used. After the oven and one element on the stove quit it was cheaper to buy a new stove rather than repair. I have used Gas stoves but much prefer the electric. Enjoy your new week Darlene. Hugs Pat.
How did your surgery go? Did you get just one eye done? When I think about eye surgery, it gives me the heebie jeebies
Do you have trick-or-treating in England? Do you get any little Halloweeners come to your house for candy?
Wanted to stop by and say hello ... *hugs* and Best Wishes

I had the other eye done in 2019.so i sort of knew what to expect .
i have to keep putting drops in my eyes for another two weeks or more .
but its all for the good of my eye healing .
im fine and will write more another time ,
and inanswer to your Halloween question .
No it seems all the kiddywinks that used to come each year are all grown now .
and i think the parents are very careful these days .instead of knocking on doors ,they seem to have little parties and just go trick or treating with folks who live close to where they live ,
i think its best these days to be cautious dont you
Anyway hun
Will write again shortly maybe next time i am online ,
Hi Darlene. Thanks for keeping in touch. I've left a message for you also dropped in to add my bit to the games. Your page is cute and "spooky". Halloween is gradually catching on here as the stores keep pushing for sales. It's very new to our country. Yes, we are in mid spring. Turned our clocks forward at the beginning of October so lots more daylight time in the evenings now. Enjoy your new day. Hugs Pat.
I was and am a big fan of Dark Shadows. I'm slowly watching it again on one of the channels. I recall everything you mentioned. My oh my was Barnabas so cruel to Willie. The most gripping scene was when Willie unchained the coffin! It's awesome you have the entire series!
Well, friend, our time of the year is approaching. How thrilling! I'm doing better now, as is DH, tho a lot still waits ahead for him. He takes it as it comes, and remains upbeat. Thx for stopping by. Time for 'Ween fun... Enjoy! *hugs*
Hey Darlene..send us some of your cool weather. Extended forecast shows 80 again mid next week...of course we'll be at the beach then. I'll have to see what the weather there will be soon. Last year it was very pleasant there. Just looking forward in getting away.
It is so good to be back in the land of the living once again. In the wee hours of this morning we had power and water restored! I'm so thankful to shower and wash my hair. September has gone out with quite a bang for those of us in FL, GA, SC and NC. Our mountain towns are devastated and it is heartbreaking. Supplies are being air lifted to them because roads have just washed away. I-40 at the NC/TN line is gone. Pray for those people who are literally stranded with no power, water, cell service, etc. Too many people are truly suffering. Darlene, I, too, love to decorate for fall. I have mums and concrete jack-o-lanterns up my back steps and mums on my front porch. And several things indoors. For you and me, it's our time to shine!
This is only Wednesday. Have you arranged your days differently this week? We had a holiday on Monday and anytime that happens, the week feels all messed up. I had to think for a minute because I thought maybe it was Thursday. lol... Holidays always play tricks on my mind. Days never seem what they are. My brain will get straightened out by next week. Anyway, Labor Day is considered our last official holiday of the summer. I'm glad September is finally here. Good riddance to August. I've never been partial to the summer time months. I like the cooler weather of fall..
Thought I'd stop by to say hello.. Good night xo
*hugs* from Callisto
Thanks for the message and visit hun
iv had a prob with the song on my page ,been trying to solve it with Rick ,but to no avail .
Its late now and iv ran out of steam so can i fill you in tomorrow .I will explain all then hope this is ok .Night Night My dear friend /HUGS
Tropical weather has returned here..and will stay thru the weekend. If we can remain patient, much cooler temps next week will surely make up for this reprieve. Looks like low 70's (with some rain). Which we need right now. Been watering outside since last weekend. Marie gets moved tomorrow to her forever home.
Super busy Saturday, as we cleaned up the back yard..got stuff hauled off to the landfill. Then tackled laundry and made supper. Hoping to rest tomorrow. I didn't see Donald's rally last night so need to catch up. Hope you're having a good weekend -:)
