Happy WINDY Wednesday. Holy cannoli, it's a "hang on to your hat" kind of day. It's warm and nearly 70* so it's pleasant outside if you can keep from blowing over. hehe. My work for today is completed so now I will see what I can get into that doesn't get me into trouble or into the refrigerator! Have a great afternoon and evening. Greg, it rained here, too. Now the sun and clouds are vying for position and the wind is attempting to dry up the mud. We got over an inch of rain. The sweet gum balls blowing off the trees are dangerous missiles and the porch is once again, full of them. Not to mention the yard. We wish we could take all the sweet gum trees out but it would cost at $15,000 to have them all removed. Maybe even more since a couple are close to the house. UGH! If we had known what they were and what they produced, we'd have cut them all down when they were small an manageable. Now they a re ginormous.
I hope you are having a terrific Tuesday, Greg. Got some work done both indoors and out today and now I'm just relaxing until suppertime. I have potatoes washed ( sweet potato for me, regular potato for Dave) to bake and Dave is going to grill out chicken breasts. It's been a good day here and I hope yours has been, too.
Cool and clouds have moved in..we will see rain beginning around 2 am Wednesday. Still saying strong winds, but to our favor, since this system moves in so early, the cool (moisture) will win over any severe winds that could cause more problems. Our history here this time of year is when these type storms come in the afternoon and humidity is high. Still the rain will linger for those during their work commute..and most people here can't even drive well on a sunny day. I'm so grateful to be out of this rat race.
