Happy Hump Day Pericrick. I completed all of the mind numbing stuff yesterday with the bank and government. I then got my mind straight with a nice walk in the sunshine. About 5 miles which did tire me out. When I did it at night it did not seem tiring. I must be a night person. Nothing planned for today, maybe church. I do have an oddity with my printer/scanner. In two of my computers, I can not get them to recognize the printer. I only use it for scanning so not a major loss. Have a good day. Ciao for now and watch your wallet!
Good morning Pericrick. I am planning a day dealing with the banks and something the government wants me to do, their way. I am hoping I can do it my way. So be it! At least it will be a nice day with temps rising to 50* and people who make their living with winter suffering. Have a good day. Ciao for now and watch your wallet!
Happy Presidents Day Pericrick. No mail or banks in colonies today. To top this off, it seems I get letters for something on Friday and Saturdays where I have to wait until Monday to do something. And now another delay. Humbug! Now I have another day to be bothered waiting to see what I can do about something official! Once again I say to you, HUMBUG! Have a good day. Ciao for now and watch your wallet!
Good morning Pericrick. Warmer this morning, 28*F, heading to 40 today. Nothing to do today. Maybe a walk but who knows! Have a good day. Ciao for now and watch your wallet!
Good morning Pericrick. Cool one this morning. 11*F feeling like zero. However, going to 33* later. I think I will wait to throw out the water. Church is later in the day so nothing for early this morning. Have a good day. Ciao for now and watch your wallet!
Good morning Pericrick. Friday is here and so is this writer. A day of abstinence and waiting for spring. Burlap is the choice of clothing for today. I may go to church but that is 4 hours away and so the choice is in the distance and one does not have to choose now. Have a day of penance. Ciao for now and watch your wallet!

Happy FAT TUESDAY, or Shrove Tuesday Pericrick. People doing buffets, all you can eat; dressing in costume; drinking to excess and needing bail money, etc. All this before having to don clothing made from burlap on Wednesday, ASH WEDNESDAY. Have a fulfilling day. Ciao for now and watch your wallet!
Hello Pericrick. Monday is here and so is this writer. Nothing planned for today. Maybe having a call with my tax people. Have a good day. Ciao for now and watch your wallet!
Greetings Pericrick of Omaha. Waiting for the rain at 3:45, and it is warm. 44*, heading for 55*. This is bordering on record temps for this time of year. The big project for today, take the recyclables out to the alley, if there is not anything on the TV. Have a good day. Ciao for now and watch your wallet!
Happy Monday in February Pericrick. I am pondering coffee this morning as it has been 2 months since I have indulged. I hope the coffee maker works although I have a new one in case of an emergency. Nothing planned except a walk later, maybe to Walmart for a price check, or maybe even a couple of purchases. Undecided. Have a good day. Ciao for now and watch your wallet!
Happy Sunday Pericrick. Once the sun came out yesterday, it was glorious. Nothing planned for today. Maybe a walk. I see frost on my windshield of the car so I'm not interested in going to the store for some imaginary need. Have a good day. Ciao for now and watch your wallet!
Good morning Pericrick. Happy Saturday. The day, although it is still dark, is starting at 33* and will get up to 43*F. It is January. My day at the beach yesterday turned out rather cool. Ice on the river and my hands turning red from the temps. River was also too low to swim as the locks are open all the way South. Today my schedule is for church at 4 and maybe a walk. Have a good day. Ciao for now and watch your wallet!
Good morning Pericrick. Happy February. A little oddity this year as the month of February has 29 days. There's also another oddity, Valentine's Day falls on ASH WEDNESDAY. I wonder how old the good Christians will celebrate Valentine's Day on that day. I remember a similar situation at a company I was working at. A company function at an auditorium with over 3000 people. It happened to be on a Friday and they were serving dinners with meat. Somehow they got special dispensation from the bishop for Catholics to be able to eat meat on that Friday. Of course I saw the same thing on Saint Patrick's Day. Hopefully you have all of your calendar pages changed. I got up early this morning to accept the challenge of turning all three calendars. I was able to preview them and noticed I have nothing formidable coming up. Undecided on a schedule for today. After a rigorous schedule yesterday of starting the day off and Walmart, then church, and finally a 2 mile walk. I wanted to get to the beach but for various reasons I was unsuccessful. Have a good day. Ciao for now and watch your wallet!
Good morning Pericrick. Happy HUMP DAY. It is also the last day of the month where we have to change the calendar pages. It helps to do some calisthenics before changing the pages so we don't pull a muscle. Have a good day. Ciao for now and watch your wallet!
Good morning Pericrick. Fairly warm this morning. About 38* but will not rise much more today. Sun came out yesterday and thus some snow has left the yard. I may attend church this morning, the daily Mass, for the first time in a few weeks. And maybe get on a walk. I made about 2 miles yesterday. I miss the middle of the night travels but I am done with that. I think I shall also be removing the splint today. As a matter of fact, I know I will. I had it put on 8 weeks ago today, about 10:15 AM, give or take 43 seconds, colonial time. Have a good day. Ciao for now and watch your wallet!
Good morning Pericrick. I have just passed the hour of my 8 week anniversary of the incident. Undecided on whether to take the splint off today or tomorrow. I may put the soft one on for a couple of days before going back to the coffee. I did get to the store yesterday and purchased some Black Silk, a coffee I enjoy more than what is in my Fortress in anticipation of tipping the coffee cup. Nothing planned for today except a walk over to get some bananas. Then if I get some sun in my yard, I may take the longer walk. Have a good day. Ciao for now and watch your wallet!
Good morning Pericrick on this Saturday in January, the last one. It is about 35*F heading to 38 later. With all the rain, snow is melting. I walked over to Walmart yesterday and was besieged by puddles from the melting. For the most part, no slippery places. Felt good to get out even though it was drizzling. Looks like I will not see the sky today. Better get used to it as February is the cloudiest month. Going to get the car out later. First time in a week. I will be leaving it out as it is not supposed to be cold this week. I should buy a parka for the car. Have a good day. Ciao for now and watch your wallet!
Hello Pericrick. Rain stretching into eternity. Better this than snow. Unusual for January in my backyard. Have a good day. Ciao for now and watch your wallet!
Good morning Pericrick. Starting the day off at 34°and heading for 38 degrees later. The downside, it is going to start raining at about 7:00 AM. The good thing is a lot of the snow shall go away. And I don't see much snow in the forecast in the next 10 days. I was able to get out for a decent walk yesterday. I suppose I got in about three and a half miles. That is the first time I got that distance since my incident. I was hoping for another Hollywood story today but it doesn't look good. I might be able to get out for a constitutional in the neighborhood. Most of the hard ice from the snow on the road has turned to slush. That is a good thing if you're out for a walk. Other than that, nothing planned for today. Have a good day and don't forget to put out the garbage. Ciao for now and watch your wallet!
