I gave up on Twitter... half the time it wasn't working and who really wants to know what I am up to by the minute/hour/day! I prefer messages and emails!

My contact person is "BC Sugar" who is now a "real life" friend as well as a NOTH friend.

CROWN JEWELS OF CANADA SOCIETY

Although I've been very active in the Red Hat Society for several years I have now gone in a new direction and am a proud member of the CROWN JEWELS OF CANADA SOCIETY. (http://canadianjewels.info

Unfortunately, as I paid for a lifetime membership on the Hill, I can't change my ID

Why wear a hat when you can wear Diamonds? Are they not a girl's best friend? (Men have dogs!)

Visit LOTH

I grew up in Ontario (Canada)and have traveled to every province and state and in total over 44 countries. I love both travel and photography - and dogs, cats & kids and friends!
I've lived in the 'burbs of New York City (Westchester); Vermont; Rhode Island, S-W Florida & Arizona, as well as Toronto and western Canada...home of the Rocky Mountains and spectacular scenery and the upcoming 2010 Olympics!

I am "supposedly" retired but work pretty much full time with founding a new Canadian Social club for women annual convention planning.

For me - this says it all:

Wander-Thirst

ALL the credit for this masterpiece goes to Gerald Gould

Beyond the east the sunrise; Beyond the west the sea
And East and West the Wander-Thirst that will not let me be;
It works in me like madness to bid me say goodbye,
For the seas call, and the stars call, and oh! The call of the sky!

I know not where the white road runs, nor what the blue hills are,
But a man can have the sun for friend, and for his guide, a star;
And there’s no end to voyaging when once the voice is heard,
For the rivers call, and the road calls, and oh! The call of a bird!

Yonder the long horizon lies, and there by night and day
The old ships draw to home again, the young ships sail away
And come I may, but go I must, and if men ask you why,
You may put the blame on the stars and the sun,
And the white road and the sky.

YES - I HAVE BEEN TO ALL THE PLACES IN THE PHOTOS! I love to travel! Am off to China, Russia and Alaska soon and next year to S. America again and Antarctica.

Below are a few photos from a recent trip to Europe and our river cruise from Paris to Budapest.

Watching family and friends suffer through rough times... be it health-wise or financially.
We all want only the best for our loved ones.
I wish all of my friends good health and much happiness - always!

Nothing is more precious that family and friends!

Hi Lynda.  Have a safe trip home.  Sometimes life just gets too busy.  Hope it slows down for you some.  Always nice to hear from you.  Nobody can take the beauty of B.C. away, that is for sure.  My daughter was in the US at the time of the Olympics, and all they heard was news about the Americans and what they won.  Not the best coverage, but it has always been that way, in everything.

Have a great rest of the week.

Good Morning and Happy St Patty's Day to you.  I've been so neglectful of my friends on the hill. It's been a hectic winter with little "free" time for visiting friends on the hill. I'm working 57 hr/weeks and it's been exhausting, frustrating, exhilerating and interesting. We've had a good winter in Arizona but I've been stuck to my desk here so much I perhaps may have been just as well off at home... but the good news is there's so much sunshine here that it does improve one's spirit. We loved the Olympics although coverage was "all American" and we missed learning more about the Canadian athletes. The good news is that the Americans were so impressed with the beauty of B.C.  We're about to pack up and head for home and visits with family and friends. Wishing you well and wanted you to know that I've been thinking about you even though not too great about staying in touch lately.

HUGS

Lynda
