I was born and raised in Michigan, living in various cities over the years.
As a young adult, I spent many years working in geriatrics in the Traverse City area. As time went on, I became a Food Service Mgr at the Lansing Woolworth stores. After they went out of business, I became a Warehouse Mgr for a family owned biz in Holland.
My life has taken many twists and turns.
Along the way, I have learned to ''listen to my gut'', to go with it and not to question it.
During the spring of 2012, I moved from my two bedroom home ~~ into a large one bedroom ~~ at a friend's house.
She was in need of support. 6 months prior, she had 3 massive strokes, leaving her in a wheelchair, yet, she continued to take care of her mother. Her mother died this spring, leaving my friend all alone.
I was faced with another move, in the summer of 2012. This time, to a smaller, one bedroom of another friend. He is battling cancer, with no family, friends or support nearby.
And here I be.... as we fight his battle together.
