I occasionally rent a DVD, and recently watched "The Bucket List", which stars Morgan Freeman & Jack Nicholson. I felt it was well worth the time. It's one of those movies that makes you laugh & cry. Excellent performances by both actors.

I enjoy some jazz, country, easy listening, classical & light rock, but it depends on my mood.

My favorite is: "Chicken Soup for the Woman's Soul". 101 stories to open the hearts and rekindle the spirits of women. It's a great book to have with you when you are traveling or have to wait somewhere.

For December & January...burgundy, royal blue, silver & gold.
Otherwise, Teal gets my vote.



In our town we have a Polar Plunge (into the Ohio River) every March to help raise money for Special Olympics. Maybe you have an event like this in your hometown.

A much better question would be, what do I not like? Mexican food is my favorite, if I had to pick just one.

I am happily married to Rick. He is also diehardcubsfan here on NOTH. He enjoys the arcade, and I like to read the blogs and other postings. I am retired from property management, and I now work part time with senior citizens, a job I enjoy very much. Time spent with family & friends means more to me than anything else I could ever do. That's what is most important to me.



I love photography when children are the subject. They seem to enjoy just being themselves, and don't often "pose" the way adults do. What I noticed about this picture was that the child was attempting to hold his hands in the same position as the cat's paws. I don't know who took this picture, but I was touched by it.

Celebrating the new year with my husband, family, and friends here on the hill. I can't wait to see what 2009 brings!

I like the changes in seasons, snuggling in bed with my sweetie on a cold rainy morning, curling up in front of a fireplace with a good book and a glass of wine, positive people with a mischievous sense of humor, and people who have the ability to laugh at themselves...and the world...when things get tough.

I dislike negativity, bad manners, arrogance, disloyalty to family & friends, people with no sense of humor, attention seekers and pity parties. I also tend to avoid people who constantly complain about their problems, but won't try to make their situation any better. People who cannot accept that regardless of our race, color, age, gender, national origin, religion, mental or physical disability: we are all children of the universe. It also saddens me the way our country has suffered terribly due to the war.

I enjoy reading, crosswords, jewelry design (beading), & surfing the web. We recently moved to a brand new home and that means learning more about gardening. I have a big yard and I want to start a flower garden, so I can place flowers in pretty containers in every room of the house.
