BOOKS
I'm not really much of a book reader (except the Bible) but enjoy scanning through magazines with recipes, house projects, and other items of interest. Also love reading Helen Steiner Rice's books. Thanks to my friend Evelyn!
MY FAVORITE COLOR
I love blue shades in home decorating and pink in apparel. Black and Gold are my favorite sports colors. (Go Steelers)
MY FAVORITE FOOD
Fruit, salad, baked potato, grilled steak in the spring & summer. Homemade bread and soup in the fall & winter!
Probably boring to most people. I'm not much of a party person
and enjoy life here at home. We live in a beautiful country development with about 2 dozen houses surrounded by trees
with a slight view of the hills around us.
We've been fortunate to visit parts of the world including South America, Europe, and the Middle East.
I've been married to the same guy for 50 years.
We have 4 children, 10 grandchildren, and 3 great grandchildren.
My dad was a coal miner and served in WWI and my mom was
a home maker. They had 11 children and 30 grandchildren
so I have lots of nieces and nephews!
My oldest brother who is deceased served in WWII.
WHAT I LIKE
I love Jesus Christ, God, nature, and laughing out loud.
I like drinking coffee on our deck early in the morning (during the warm months of course) and watching the wildlife scampering around. Last year we added two backyard bird feeders plus two humming bird feeders. It's very pretty, calm and peaceful here with just the sound of a train whistle in the distance.
I enjoy walking on our nearby bike trail which is beautifully done. It's 8 mile long with bridges and bird houses every few yards and plenty of natural surroundings. They are extending it to go through our small town where some of the old coke ovens still remain and eventually connect to other trails.
WHAT I DON'T LIKE
Losing a loved one or a pet.
Severe thunderstorms
Bullies, Selfishness, Rudeness
Cancer, diabetes, and other afflictions.
Suffering and unforgiveness.
HOBBIES
Taking pictures.
Grandchildren
Computer activities
Internet shopping
