From My House to Yours

I’m married with children, cats, fish and birds. (My dog just recently passed away)
Basically a serious person (winks and smiles) love of science, nature and animals including the two legged kind. Here I like to relax and enjoy my friends in a light-hearted atmosphere, with the occasional scientific brain-cell burning debate with good friends and plenty of coffee. As a rule I’m a thinker and not a talker, but on occasion I will break that rule especially with friends I’m comfortable with – smiles.

Things that I like eh? Hmmmm. The simple things, the no pretence, the honesty.
I like summer’s early morning peacefulness with a good cup of coffee and watch the morning mist rise over the fields with the birds beginning their day with their usual chirps and chatter. I like a thunderstorm and a good book and a cup of coffee that gets refilled.

My favourite time of the year is Winter. That’s when the world seems to slow everything down a bit. People have a tendency to be friendlier towards each other, words spoken seem to be softer and everyone seems to have a more optimistic outlook for the future in spite that we complain about the weather and the cold, everyday.

I like time spent with a friend where at times not much is really said but the time spent was beneficial to ones soul just the same. Or a good brain burning debate where regardless the disagreements it ends with a smile. The laughter until tears flow and the tummy aches, or share tears of sorrow when losing a loved one even if it may be a four legged kind.

I like those who love animals, even if for reasons they cannot have some of their own, but would never cause them any harm.

I don’t like noisy places and unruly crowds.
I thoroughly dislike those who abuse or kill animals as a sport or find it funny to hurt them or just because they can’t keep their temper in check.
