The honest truth
Posted On 04/20/2008 19:18:51

For several years now I have been an avid follower of the two computer guru's that live in my computer. They come to me every week with wit and wisdom. Their knowledge instills in me a sense of being in control over this machine called a computer. I have been faithful in following their guidance, instructions, and common sense. I have wonderous programs that do my bidding installed on this machine, thanks to my two gurus. This machine functioned well until about six months ago, until it got a mind of its' own. A hacker type evil thing got into my computer and started to put everything into disarray. My programs would not operate properly, I had freeze ups, the computer was so-o-o-o-o slow, internet connections were iffy, and finally I had no control at all. First came Windows files reloaded. That worked for about 2 weeks. Then a full reformat. At this point I am almost in tears. But wait! "Don't you remember (I said) what your wonderful gurus told you about recovery from an absolutely awfully terrible disaster"? Use your back-ups. All of the information on backing up my system, saving my files, taking care to protect my information paid off. I soon had this machine up and running again and all my "stuff" was intact. The only thing I had to do was install a few programs. And, because I saved my email messages with key codes etc. I had all my wonderful programs from my gurus back on this machine in no time. So I guess that even though I am "youth challenged" I am still not to old to learn. I am so thankful for my two gurus that live in my computer. I hope everyone has a EB & TC!

Spring is in the air
Posted On 03/30/2008 20:28:08

The snow is melting and spring is trying to shoo ole' man winter away. First fishing of the season is over, and we wait with a growing excitement as we awaken from our winter lethergy.
