Supposed to go to 55 today with a drizzly rain. Low 60's Wed and Thurs & mid 60's and sunny on Friday. Taking a resident to a Dr. tomorrow in London. Needs blood workup prior to her knee operation on the 22nd. Then on Thursday, I'm meeting with a friend from here on NOTH (and his wife) in Berea. I intend to spend the whole day there, shopping after the visit, as I have to come back in the evening anyway for a play I will be attending that nite. Neil Simon's "The Sunshine Boys"....Should be a funny play. It's going to be a long day...but one of fun and a lot of shopping.
Good afternoon dearest Angelika,I hope you are feeling much better today.. I cannot believe it is still so cold in Germany!! brrrrrr I tried that translation site and it seems like a dictionary!! so I will look for something else.
I hope your new keyboard arrived, I had a Microsoft Keyboard but didn't like it so have gone back to an old PS2.. like it much better and if my computer crashes again I can get into the CDROM to run the disc... otherwise if you have one with a USB... you can't move the mouse or use the keyboard to get into the BIOS as you cannot move the arrows up or down. Interesting lesson I have learnt on Wednesday!!!
Well dearest Angelika, I hope you enjoy the rest of your Friday and have a lovely weekend, no shovelling of snow !!! hugs and more hugs, love Marlene xxx
Well, here I am, trying to catch up on my comments. Been to long off. Trying to do this between laundry loads.
I hope you're doing well in your neck of the woods. I imagine you're waiting for spring like all of us. I think we all have a touch of spring fever beginning. Tired of this old cabin fever.
Here's wishing you a good week, what's left of it.
Hi,was just going through some pages and came across yours, maybe if you came to my page and read through it you might find something we could chat about and become friends, what have you got to loose?? gene
Good afternoon Angelika,Thank you again for your mail.. greatly appreciated. I hope your new keyboard arrives soon. My computer crashed the other night... anyway a friend in the Village fixed it up for me. So I had to put all the programs back on it again.. it takes so long to do that..as you know.
Will close now, keep well and take care, hugs, Marlene xxxxxxxxx

The weather was quite warm for early March yesterday...It almost hit 70. It should be close to that again today....with the possibility of some rain. I just hope we don't get a rash of really cold weather again, after this great weather we've been having. I pray all is well with you. Thank you for your friendship.
Another beautiful sunny day yesterday. High of 63. Just delightful. The next 3 days are to be 61, 61 and 65. I hope we are over the hump now, and Spring is on it's way. Hope your day goes well. God Bless.
Do hope all is well and that the weather is starting to warm up. Spring can't be too far away now, the daffodils and blue bonnets are poking their heads out of the ground to greet the sun. May you have a wonderful week too! Huggles, Jaci
Sunday was such a lovely sunny day, I decided to take another ride out on the back roads of my area of Kentucky. The temp hit a high of 62, and you could just smell Spring in the air. The grasses are greening up, some home gardens have been plowed up already, and it was just a perfect day. There was little traffic on the roads, which made my drive even better.
I stopped at Long John Silvers for a quick bite to eat. Got the 2 piece fish with hush puppies. Instead of the french fries though, I asked to substitute more hush puppies. Normally they give you only 2 in place of the fries, but this guy gave me 4. Was I surprised, but very happy. I love hush puppies. With my hunger satisfied & my thirst quenched with a pink lemonade, I resumed my nice peaceful and leisurely drive. This one was only for 3 hrs. instead of the 6 hrs. I drove 2 Sundays ago, but it was nice and not as tiring.
I guess I did a good job of recharging my batteries for the upcoming week. The drive was nice, but it was also good to get back home.
I hope you had a great Sunday also. It is to be in the 60's here most of the coming week also. I felt so good, I added some flower photos to my profile page, so as to bring a smile to anyone's face that visits my site.
Herrliche Farben. Man spuert direkt den Fruehling.
Muss leider schliessen Angelika, habe noch so etliches zu erledigen. Bleib gesund und munter. Bin in Gedanken oft bei Dir. Ich wuensche Dir noch eine schoene Woche.
HELLO PRECIOUS, STOPPING IN TO SEE HOW YOU ARE AND WISH YOU A BEAUTIFUL RELAXING DAY..NICE DAY HERE, NO RAIN..SUN IS FINALLY FOR A DAY..LEAVING BLESSINGS AND LOT'S A LUV FOR YOU, HUGS, ANN
Took my neighbor to the heart doctor yesterday ( after getting lost), almost ran out of gas....my 'low gas' warning light came on & I drove many many miles before finally finding a gas station.
Tried to food shop at WalMart in London,KY, but it was so crowded, I couldn't even find a parking spot. Went to Big Lots & bought a few things there. Went to Krogers and bought some things there. Finally got home around 6:30 PM. I was exhausted. At least it was a beautiful sunny day...but the constant wind made it feel colder than the 45 degrees it was.
I got a very good sleep last night/this morning. Slept in my recliner until 8:30 AM, and had no back pain. I've been getting up between 4-6 AM when I sleep in bed or the couch. This may be the way to go until these darn things get better.
The only thing my doctor suggested to help relieve the spasms, are a series of back exercises. I do not take muscle relaxers, so that was out of the question. Normally, these go away by themselves. I'm sure the cold damp weather doesn't help. Never had them when I lived in Florida.
Spring is just around the corner. Going to be 45 today and sunny all day. Hooray.
