Hello Casey, I couldn't resist trying your Hint about "holding" and it really works. I had no intention of continuing on to exceed your score this morning when I started, but I was so fascinated how differently the whole thing works when you apply your strategy. You must be a gambler. I've been to Vegas only one time. I enjoyed seeing all the beautiful Hotels, and seeing shows, and eating in the wonderful restaruants better than gambling part. I've never really gambled. I did get quite good at 21 though, and won a couple of dollars. I'm a cheapy, so I had alloted my self a certain amount of money to gamble each day, and put it in different envelopes before I left home. I would take out an envelope each day, and if I won money, it went back in the envelope. At the end of the day, I might have a few $$ more than I started the day, but mostly it was less. I'm a Leo, but don't take chances much.
Your game of 3 wheel slots wreaks havock on my right hand, spinning over and over (I have fibromyalsia in my arms and hands). I think I will stick to my favorite, Bookworm. What I like about these two games is they are not timed. I cannot compete with the younger crowd, and they grandchildren who are playing the games running up scores. I'll be happy with the few I'm comfortable with.
Have you ever heard of Myrtle Beach South Carolina? I live 15 miles from there in Conway SC. We have lots of Canadians come down, especially for the month of March, which is known as "CanAm Days." We enjoy seeing you Canadians out swimming in the ocean when the water is still so very cold.
Take care & hope the hubby is well also.
Sonja from Carolina
Hi back -- good on you and now one of these days I'll have to spend several more hours trying to top you. However will I explain eventual tendenitis in my arm to my doctor? I'm not really a gambler - Been to Vegas once but we have our own Casino here in Vernon and I think I've been twice. Both times left donations to the government lottery commission. Figure we pay enough to them already in taxes so it's not a place I frequent often. Yes, I do know of Myrtle Beach -- even we Canadians know of Vanna White.
My husband is fine - limping around and will have his work cut out for him in the morning as we've had snow falling for the past several hours. I have to pick up my daughter and get her to work at 6:00 this morning and he wants me to get him up as well so that he can get the driveway semi cleared before I drive out. He has a thing about tire tracks in the snow. And we've had so much snow accumulation from the plows that there's no place to park on the street anymore so I'm bringing my car back up the driveway to it's regular parking space. Unless he wants to take his Bronco and pick Robyn up himself. Thanks again for the challenge -- have a good day -- Jan
Hi - thanks for the challenge. It's not hard to add up points if you stay at it long enough. Obviously I really should find a life somewhere. I started off this morning - accumulated 4500+ points and then took a break, clicked onto something else and lost everything - so I started all over. When you play - if the second and third icon are the same - hold them before spinning again. You stand a decent chance of getting the third icon by doing that. Just click on under the icons to hold. Also, every so often the points are doubled or tripled. Can't figure out the pattern to that but really do appreciate it when it happens.
I tried to put in a graphic but it wouldn't accept. So I tried again and still no luck. Now I have another challenge. So I'll just say it's nice to talk to you and from the winter snows of Vernon, B.C. - Happy New Year. Jan
My goodness girlfriend...Your moving up....I logged onto my page and saw that you had placed an avatar for your picture instead of leaving it blank...Gees, I proud of you...Are you still hosting guests?
Good Morning my friend...We have more in common than you thought..I have a daughter that has been a real pain in my rear since she was 12..I'll talk more to you about that when I have more time to type..
I'm with you my friend...I kept putting things off and now I am behind getting my things done for Christmas..I hate house work and have let this house go so I'm going crazy trying to get it all done before Thursday also..Don't have anyone coming to stay though...I'm glad that your going to have your family with you for Christmas though...I did not want to think that your family would not be there with you for Christmas..Hey, with a bunch of people in the house, no one will notice if it's not totally spotless.
I'll be happy to help you with putting graphics and pictures on your page...
Take a deep breath and relax and just enjoy your company and your children...Sonjia

Hello Sonjia, What a nice note from you. Girl, I'm thinking more and more that we have more in common than our name. Is the above family picture yours. I just know it is, and you are the one with the red shirt and vest. You are not going to believe this, but we even kinda look and dress alike! Your Christmas page is just full of beautiful Christmas images. After all the holidays are over, and things settle down, will you please help me to learn to do pictures and things.
Well I think I am completely brain dead. Although I knew it was Christmas season, I didn't realize it was just days ahead until this week! I've never been one to shop ahead, in fact I have always done all my Christmas shopping in one day, the Saturday before Christmas whereever it falls. Then I wrap everything on the next day on Sunday. My body won't let me do that anymore, but my mind still thinks I'm a young chick, so for the past 3 days, I've been rushing around, buying gifts, planning meals, buying grocerys, and throwing away all those awful plastic bags the stores put everything in nowadays--I hate them. Anyway, I still have to clean the house (it's filthy), bake pies and cakes, take out my turkey to thaw, boil my fresh ham (oh, I did bake my sweet potatoes today), and wrap the gifts. Did I say that I have 4 people coming MONDAY to stay until the following SUNDAY! Then on Christmas Eve, my daughter & grandson, will join us for the day, night, and Christmas day. One of the 4 mentioned above is a friend who lives in Charlotte. You know, a few years ago, none of this would have bothered me, and I would have completed all my tasks in a snap, and looked forward to a full house for a week, but Sweetie, I've lived alone for so long now, I don't know if I will live through a couple of days, much less a whole week! But I know I will because Christmas is all about celebrating the birth of our Lord Jesus Christ, and that's what keeps me going. I have been blessed the past 3 Christmas seasons because before that my daughter had been deep into drugs, and it had gotten so bad, I could not allow her to come for the Holiday. She hit bottom in 2004 & went into Rehab. 2005 Christmas was the happiest I'd been in many many years. She's slipped a few times since, but so far, doesn't fall. We have a good relationship now, and I'm so thankful for God's blessings. My son (well, he's my stepson, but I raised him and so he is my son even though his Dad & I are divorced), and his wife live in Greer SC - just outside of Greenville SC. They can see the mountians from Greer. He works at BMW, and today was his last day for I guess several months. He was layed off, but just temporarily. He is in the Air Force Reserves in Charleston, so he is going to volunteer to go to the "Desert" during this time. At least he has the military to fall back on. So many people like your family have lost their jobs or businesses. I pray that the Lord will heal our Country from the sins and despair, and allow us to see better times.
If I don't talk to you again before my company arrives, I wish for you and all you family a very happy Holiday, filled with love and sharing of one another and open hearts to receive Gods blessings.
Good Morning Sonja...Sorry that I have not been in touch so long..It seems like every time I get on this computer I think of you, but I just can't seem to catch up in this group or here at home...I guese part of me will have to admit that I'm the kind to put off till tomorrow kind of person alot of the time...I've got to finish geting my cleaning done and the rest of my grocery shopping...All the kids will be here for Christmas lunch and I have the turkey defrosting in the fridge, but I have a few things yet to shop for and have all I need..We're only giving gifts to my youngest sons 3 kids...They are younger..Since my son lost his business and my youngest son worked for him, gifts are low priority for us..We will just be geting togather to eat, with me doing most of the cooking..I'm glad that I'm able to do it...
What sort of plans do you have for Christmas...Are you going to be with your kids for Christmas...
Don't know about Conway but it has been yuck here all week...Cloudy, foggy and drizzle...I'll be glad to get some sun shine again...
Yesterday I rode to Harmony NC with my cousin to visit another cousin..It was a little over and hour's drive, but worth it to spend some time with another cousin for awhile...
Well, my friend, I just wanted to let you know that I was thinking about you and wanted to say Merry Christmas to you...Sonjia
Thanks for stopping by my page. It's hardly anything special. I don't know how to do all the pictures and stuff that I so enjoy on other's page (yours included .)
Are you currently living in Colorado or Florida? Where did you live in NC? If you came to check out Myrtle Beach in the month of Dec, Honey, that is a very slow month. Talk about wall-to-wall, summer is the tourist season & the locals dread to see it come. Used to be, after Labor Day, everything closed up for the winter & boarded the windows, but now we have year-round tourists and golfers...no really dead seasons anymore for the locals.
Have a great Holiday, and thanks again for stopping by.
Sonja
Hi Sonja,
Yes, it was in the Winter that we checked out Myrtle Beach. Someone down there told us that they get swamped in the summer time. I do remember that Highway called Kings Highway. I loved the name.
We are living in Colorado now. Have been since we quit our travels. We moved here in 1962 and then went to NC (Goldsboro/Dudley) for 2 yrs. Then we moved to Florida (Miami) Moved back to Colorado for a year then moved to VA (Hampton) then back to Colorado and been here ever since.
Your not alone on not knowing how to do much on here, I''m not to swift when it comes to learning all this stuff either. ha ha.
