Good morning. Hot one yesterday, and of course I picked that day to mow the lawn. I did not realize it was hot until completion of the job and I was trying to cool down. There are still residual effects this morning with the house. I opened the windows yesterday, the first time for the bedroom window and when returning from the walk this morning, opened the front door and put the fan in it to aerate the house. I was hoping to not have to do that until July but every 1.1 million years, the Sun heats up by 10%. My calculation is in a billion years we will be gone. Have a good day. Ciao for now and watch your wallet!
Good morning. Yesterday I reached the day where it is ethical to open the windows. It is like the rule about wearing white. I have cheated for about a week with the small bathroom window but none that could be observed. Since I was using the oven, I opened the kitchen yesterday and am preparing a plan for today to open one in my Ready Room. I want to wait for the light of day because one never knows what is out there in darkness. This morning on the walk, I found someone in their car, stuck in a construction area where he tried to get through where I am cautious walking. Fortunately for him, it is out of sight of the local heat because I think he was drinking. I would like to be there when the construction people arrive. Have a good day. Ciao for now and watch your wallet!
Happy Sunday. I went outside to the smell of a skunk this morning. Also known as a polecat if you live south of the Mason/Dixon Line. I looked around with a flashlight, for those in Europe, a torch. Nothing, but the odor was strong. I felt if this were the age of the dinosaur, this thing would not be bothering me. In either case, I went for the walk and much to my pleasure, on returning, no odor. Nothing planned for the rest of the day. Ciao for now and watch your wallet!
Happy Saturday. Yesterday, I did the first cut of the grass of the year and it was like a hay field. I still want to go over it with my regular mower but that can wait. I am a known procrastinator. Have a good day. Ciao for now and watch your wallet!
It's National Paper Airplane Day. I look forward to this everyday and reminds me of my days of education and how the nuns looked with descension on me for it.
Good morning. Just days away from mowing the lawn for the first time. The grass is longer this year than last year so I hope the mower handles it. Time does not matter so it will not matter the rate of speed in doing it. I managed to get back to my walk after a sabbatical because of the injury. The long weekend of Memorial Day is almost here, the unofficial start of summer in the Colonies. Have a good day. Ciao for now and watch your wallet!
Happy Hump Day. Due to my incident yesterday, I have cleared my calendar for today. I did manage to throw the water out this morning, but was able to do that without being dressed decently. The only other thing will be to throw some water on the tomato plants. I of course will have to dress for that. I probably will make that effort as daylight starts peeking, before what is known as the sun arrives. In either case, it shall be casual and I will pine away at not going for the walk as guilt will move in. One more day closer to Memorial Day when I can officially open the windows. I have cheated and cracked the bathroom window when no one is around to notice. Have a good day. Ciao for now and watch your wallet!
Good morning. Yesterday, a lot of us went and got the Shingrix shot. I have been meaning to do this for a couple of years but never thought of it when out and about. Of course, reading of the senior senator from California jogged my mind and I got the first of two. I actually got one in 2015, a different type, that was going to last me for a hundred years or until I went to the men's room. Now they came up with this, and it is free to decent people. Speaking of price, the price of bananas at Kwik Trip is 29 cents. Good price. Flowers have arrived. Ciao for now and watch your wallet!
Good morning. Happy weekend. 47* this morning at time of departure for the walk. Felt colder. Took me about a mile and a half to become accustomed to it. I actually should have worn a winter coat as I noted someone who looked like a smoker with one on but usually I am not going back into the house for anything once I depart. Church this afternoon. Tomorrow is the end of the Easter season if one is a Catholic in the colonies. I think it is supposed to get to 74* today if the smoke is not here in the air. Have a good day. Ciao for now and watch your wallet!
Happy Friday. Not Joe Friday, just Friday. Air quality alert goes off today at noon. Maybe I will see if the sun is still there. This is a good shakedown for when the Earth gets hit by a meteor sometime. Have a good day. Ciao for now and watch your wallet!
Good morning from the fashion capital of the world. Garbage day in my colony. About 51* and a pleasant walk this morning. Have a good day. Ciao for now and watch your wallet!
Some of the neighbor women over to watch television on a Hump Night.
Good morning. A lot accomplished yesterday. Not looking to accomplish much today. Maybe sprinkling my huge garden. Have a good day. Ciao for now and watch your wallet!
Good morning Lora. A little warmer this morning, 47* but heading to 80* later. Have a good day. Ciao for now and watch your wallet! And no.............. the tall guy is not from Chicago.
Tallest man to serve in Civil War, or so his grave finder says.
