NIGHTFALL
Night falls on the folds of day
And the sound is growing thin
Waves of silence coming strong
To quench the daylight din
The silence in the darkness grows
With all consuming peace
The sleepy river lazy flows
But currents never cease
The hush that fills this shadow world
Becomes a limitless deep
It seems to whisper in your ear
Now is the time for sleep

Well, I'm glad this week seems to be ending better than it started. Last Saturday I went to my great nephews first birthday party. They had it outside and everybody tried to social distance but even so it turned into a super spreader event. Not with Covid, no it was the Chilli. A few got hit with it that same day but I had no signs until Sunday night. By dawns early light I knew I would not be at work Monday but I figured I would just lay around and watch TV. No chance... Even when areas stomach related were not bothering me my brain was so fried I couldn't concentrate. So I ended up in bed not sleeping but waiting for about nine hours until I felt semi human again. Next time you worry about Covid don't forget the thousand other things out there lurking in the bushes!
