Spring Vacation

From Massanutten Virginia TimeShare

Once again it that time of year for our break in the Virgina mountains. We were one of those foolish people that got talked into a timeshare years ago. Since we have to pay the fees each year we take our yearly week there. It only costs us our gas to get there and groceries we buy for the week. It is a unit just like an apartment. It has a sauna and hot tub right in the unit. Or we can go to one of the activity centers for no charge. It is deeded so as long as we can come up with the yearly dues it is something we will always have and can pass down to children and grandchildren (hopefully they will have interest in it).

It is quiet with many wildlife. I love the deer. Usually feed them bread each year. One year they ate from my hand. It was a thrilling experience. They wander around the back yards of the units at dusk. They aren't scared of people, but keep a respectful distance. They will slowly move away if you try to walk up to them. I sat very quietly and tossed pieces of bread like a trail, until one quickly ate from my hand. Hubby was taking photos and the camera battery died at that moment, so no photo of the moment.

Hubby has lost some weight so is excited to use their gyms. Maybe a little golf. I just want the quiet, my camera and the solitude I enjoy, maybe some walking or a swim in the pool if my body allows.

It must be a beautiful as it is here with Spring arriving as it is here at home.

TimeShares were offered in New Zealand some years ago, and we decided not to be involved. Some people we know took up the offer, and have had some nice holidays in Australia through it. I hope you have many more happy weeks with yours.
