Every morning I watch the news on the telly before I get up (my get up and go is not as fast as it used to be) and as I'm watching I wonder why I am. It is really a depressing way to start the day as most folks may agree...the news is always about the bad things going on...why can't there be something light and /or funny. Then one day last week there it was...just a simple little thing but, yep, I was smiling and saying it's about time...you may be saying I wonder what it was (or not) but here it is...they showed a lady walking her dog and it was a little , cute white dog all dressed up in doggie clothes and it was walking only on it's hind legs. Strutting down the street like it thought that's the way it should be done. So Cute. Guess it doesn't take much sometimes to toss a bone to the human population.

Alice...it would be great to have a 30 minute news show every day that ONLY showed good things that happen or that people are doing in our world.  It gets soooo depressing!

And that's the truth.  Luv, Alice

Because of my grandchildren being on FaceBook I go there each day BUT I've found a couple of Groups about disabled dogs, kitties, etc. It is so enlightening and refreshing to see hoe people take it these sweet animals and rear them, instead of, them being "put down."

I've often thought about how nice it would be to bring this to The Hill but, I'm sure, I'd need their permission to do so. That way I could post what goes on each day but i don't even know if others would be interested in something like this. Perhaps you could let me know and if there's enough interest I'd start a Group.

Like the rest of you, I'm so tired of all the "crap" we hear! Once-in-awhile there may be something that can bring us joy, though.

Oh I almost forgot....THOSE STUPID SUPPOSED TO BE EYE CATCHING HEADLINES   grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

It all began in Iceland with the Banki Hanki Panki. Then Ireland's Banky Fiddly Diddly crashed before Spain's El Banco Collapso...

I accept there is doom and gloom in our news and on TV..but  what I do disike is the absolute bombardment of an issue. Every bone has to be picked clean...the goriest of pictures.... the most insensitive the questions asked...the better.

I really don't need anymore than to be told there has been a murder..or a plane crash. The sensationlism that follows and the people that do this kind of journalism/reporting rather disgusts me.

I'm with you on that.   Luv, Alice

You're so right, about the little things that brighten someone's day.All I would like now, is for the Sun to shine and all this snow to disappear. I suppose Momma nature and the Good Lord will do something about it.
