Mr. Froggie
Posted On: 05/25/2014 10:37:05

I decided to plant my morning glory seeds this morning so I soaked them overnight and went out to the porch where I have always had a window box type box on the top stair landing to the back door. When what to my surprise....there was mr. froggie...fast asleep with his front legs leaning up on the box. It was a good size and so i needed to get a picture of it. Went in the house to get the camera feeling for sure the froggie was going to be gone when I returned. Nope, there he was in the same position. I made some noises but he still didn't move. So, I snapped a pic from a fairly closeness and still he slept. So, I put the camera near his face and snapped again. Still he didn't move. I then put the camera back in the kitchen and returned so I could get the seeds planted. When I came out he was gone. Guess he just wanted his picuture taken. Funny thing...last year I had another frog make the flower box him home. He stayed in the box for weeks. I'm thinking he liked the showers that I gave him every nite. I did manage finally to get my seeds planted. If ...If they do grow they will trail up the porch railing spindles. Have never tried that before so we'll see what happens. Maybe mr. froggie was out scouting for a home. He's certainly welcome to stay. Will be thinking up a name for him if he does.  Happy Holiday to all.  Pics follow.  Luv, Alice

I thinking 'Mr. Froggie' is a perfect name!  I love frogs and have frog wind chimes, frog planters, frog statues, glass frogs, stuffed frogs, and my silly looking big fat frog.

Froggies and mice.....how nice.   Luv, Alice

[A thieving Christchurch moggy has joined New
Zealand's klepto-cat hall of fame. ]

The full article can been seen in ''Our Animal Companions''   in the Pets group.....cheers   Walter....

We get ol'froggies and iddy biddy little tree toadies with the little suctions on the bottom of their iddy biddy little feet lol.. they are adorable.. However, we now have snakes, they almost make me sick to my stomach, snakes lv frogs and toads and mice etc..but I have a terrible fear of those things, so am skiddish about even going outside to hand the wash on line in this beautiful weather.. Have no idea how to get rid of them.  Anyway, lv your pics. Very nice..  Cheers Nancy

We get Turtles here..

I get a few of those too. They lay their eggs by some nearby bushes. I never see what happens to them. We have a pond down back, so I guess that's where they end up. Love nature. We have all kinds of animals from cayotes to deer.  I stay clear of the cayotes though.   Luv, Alice
