I am still here but so busy it seems to get around to writing anything on my blog or even visit pages like I use to do. Hope everyone is well and enjoying the holiday today, though it is just another day to me and maybe one of rest. LOL . Not really I have laundry out the wazoo to do and time is ticking away. Just wanted to say hello to all my Hill friends and wish them well.
Boy oh boy, am I tired. I have spent the last month, count it 4 weeks helping my Mom. First we went to her old home in Carlsbad, N.M. to pack up move back toTexas and unpack , doing all the 9 yards inbetween. We are almost finished getting her settled and still have things to do . SO-----------That is why I have been missing on the hill. Someday I hope to get back to my PCing. This is short and sweet but to the point. LOL
But I am beginning to think I may never get back to just goofing off a bit. Keep your fingers crossed for me that I may play again.
Well, seems this will probably YES be the last Thanksgiving we will celebrate with my stepdad. He has terminal cancer and is getting worse, he wanted me out there for Thanksgiving so I am leaving Tuesday to go to Carlsbad, NM. I have not been on much since all the illnesses and surgeries and pressing stuff has happened this year, but have not forgotten my friends here at the Hill. I wanted to wish everyone a Happy Thanksgiving before I leave for a week or so.
Be happy and thankful but most of all keep the faith. This has kept me going this year with all that is going on.
Been a while, been busy and I still keep all my friends in mind, just don't get to make any rounds lately well almost 2 months now but who is counting? LOL I hope everyone has a nice spooky weekend. Deb
Just wanted to post a blog with my new puppy Tinkerbell as the star. She is a miniature schnauzer that is 11 weeks old now. This video was shot the day after we got her 4 weeks ago I think it was. Anyway she is a real toot. Just adorable and full of more energy than I will ever have. She has helped my husband in his recovery from his heart by pass surgery. She perked him right up. Full name is Isa Tinkerbell. Isa in German name means Determined One. & that is a fitting name for her.
Went to the VA yet again on Friday. Thank God we get a breather and don't have to go back until September 5th. Things are looking fine, and baring any complications that might come up, we have a break at last with those tedious LONG trips to Dallas. Still have not cured the grouchiness but that will come with steady improvements in how hubby feels. Incision still a bit red on leg but seems to be improving. At least it is not oozing anything or looking like it might erupt. This is good just some redness on parts of the incision on his leg. I would take pictures for you guys but figured you wanted to keep your breakfast, lunch or dinner down. LOL
Just have to find him a hobby to keep him busy I think. Any suggestions? Not sure he would do them as I think anything beyond watching TV is not in his vocabulary. Can't even get him on the PC again yet. Think it is depression told Dr. but he denied needing any thing for such an animal in his presence. Men--can't understand them or help em out at times with all that stubbornness.
Well so much for today, will see what tomorrow brings .

Well hubby had the heart cath last week and they said he will have to have triple bypass surgery to fix his heart, but the stupid VA is dragging their feet if you ask me getting him on the surgery schedule. That is just not so kosher in my opinion. I pray nothing happens to him while we wait for them to get him on the surgery schedule. What are they doing? I know not what. He had the heart cath on Wednesday of last week and kept him overnight and said within a week he would be on the surgery schedule and still here we wait for that call or a letter and we all know how reliable the mail is. The not knowing is really worse than knowing when to be there.
Well they did say if he has ANY problems pains what ever to take him to ER and that they could transfer him to VA BAH! we live 140 miles away and if he did have a spell they don't transfer them very fast so this is making me nuts.
Well I just had to vent and let you all know I am still on the planet but rather busy worrying. I would say LOL but it ain't no laughing matter really.
Will try to update here if I have time when we do hear anything.
