Happy February Birthday Joyful226

I made the card above in honor of February Birthdays.. and May you have a wonderful Birthday. Here is a little information about your special month. I hope you enjoy it. And you day is filled with Joy and lost of blessings.. Connie

Amethyst is the Birthstone for February. And violet is the flower.
February Birthstone poem -
the Amethyst
"The February born shall find
Sincerity and peace of mind,
Freedom from passion and from care,
If they, the amethyst will wear."

The Amethyst is associated with spirituality, wisdom, sobriety, and security. The amethyst, was the stone of royalty, also representing power,Stability, peace, balance, courage, inner strength Sincerity and a calm disposition. Amethyst is symbolic of piety, spirituality, and a devotion to God. The rich purple gemstones are used worldwide to ornament churches and crosses used in religious ceremony, and they frequently found in the rings and on the rosaries worn by bishops and priests.

It is also believed that amethysts bring on pleasant dreams because they allow you to "channel" positive universal energy. As a result many people place an amethyst under their pillow before going to sleep at night to enjoy "sweet dreams" throughout the night.
Even today, amethyst is considered a stabilizing force for those struggling to overcome addictive behaviors. In general, the gemstone is believed to be a calming, tranquil influence that symbolizes peace.

Amethyst is the purple variety of the mineral quartz and is a popular gemstone. Although it must always be purple to be amethyst, it can and does have a wide range of purple shades. Its color is unparalleled, and even other, more expensive purple gemstones are often compared to its color and beauty. If it were not for its widespread availability, amethyst would be very expensive. ....
The name "amethyst" comes from the Greek and means "not drunken." This was perhaps due to a belief that amethyst would ward off the effects of alcohol, but most likely the Greeks were referring to the almost wine-like color of some stones that they may have encountered.

The Flower for February is the Violet. One might think it a red rose as that is given for Valentine's Day. But it is a Violet. The flower symbolises faithfulness, humility and chastity. Gifting violets in the Victorian era conveyed the message’ I’ll always be true’. I hope you found this little information interesting. Wishing you a Very Happy Birthday by Connie Hull
