A native Kentuckian transplanted in Alabama long ago; retired medical transcriptionist, married 45yrs, mom of 2, g'mother of 5, currently owned by 1 dog and 2 sistah kiddens. Our daughter, who lives locally, has returned to college and we're enjoying more babysitting w/the twins. Our son, career Navy, lives far too remotely. Senior Accomplishment: since our retirement 4yrs ago, DH and I have yet to get on each other's last nerve. Now that's amazing! A critter lover, I have actively supported their well-being all my life... taken in strays, participated in rescue railroads, and adopted many thru the years including older pets which are sooo laid back & loving! I'm not a rabid "animal rights" in- your- face radical. Simply & Seriously: Please Spay/Neuter, report abuse, support your local no-kill shelter, and PLEASE Don't Subsidize Cruel Puppy Mills (also kitten, ferret, etc) by buying pets from Pet Stores; instead, OPT to Adopt! Click below to feed animals at no cost but a click. The critters thank you and need you!

Nobody where I grew up ever acted like that. We were about as fragile as coal trucks." -Lee Smith
