We have a forum you can post pictures, recipes or jokes you want to share; these are not considered blogs and will be removed. On the other hand, for example, a recipe with a story about a recipe that has special meaning would be fine. Greetings to others, thank you's, etc. are not considered blogs and will be removed.

The Story Lady and Oscar
Posted On 12/24/2020 22:49:30 by texasjane
I live in a very small community in East Texas. Through my volunteer efforts this last year I gained somewhat of a reputation. I offered to babysit for those who needed it. It all started with three children who had down-syndrome. The chief of police, a friend of mine, volunteered me for several assignments involving children including that of a three-day substitute teacher for pre-schoolers. After that, I became known as The Story Lady.Several times I was called upon to watch children in my hom... Read More

I Need A Bigger Blanket

Winter in Texas is unpredictable, to say the least. We can have an eighty-degree day followed by a forty-degree night. If we don't like that we can just wait a minute and the reverse will occur. A Wakeup Call
Posted On 09/18/2020 13:58:04 by texasjane
I can't talk, what is in my mouth. I have a gag in my mouth. My hip hurts. Where am I, what is going on here? I can't see much. My hands are tied behind me. I can't think of anyone who wanted me to shut up that much. How did they get me under here? Who ever they are. I don't really hear anything.
Oscar is jumping up and down, waving his arms and chatting up a storm. He is doing it too fast I can't interpret squirrel that fast. I can see a little bit of the yard. It looks like I... Read More

Rainbow Bridge
Posted On 08/28/2020 19:51:25 by texasjane
Rainbow Bridge is a wonderful story.  Find it, read it.  If you have ever experienced the loss of a pet you need to read it.  Read it today.  My grandmother used to tell me that rainbows were the bridges that guardian angles used to cross to earth.  Rainbow Bridge tells all about it.  Today is the day to remember Rainbow Bridge.  I know when I go I have several very sweet angels waiting for me on Rainbow Bridge.  I will get to play with Hamlet again, with...
