Here we are into another week, Tuesday already. I paid a few bills... UGH! Hubby is mowing because tonight, Wednesday, and Thursday is a chance of up to 3-4" of rain. Our backyard creek is just now dry enough to mow today.
Sun, clouds and rain are competing for our attention. And the pink moon was beautiful last night. We all had to catch it in between the clouds moving in and out.

My how time flies even when you are retired. Where did the weekend go? We ended up with an inch of rain on Friday afternoon and evening. Saturday, we spent about 4 hours moving and planting plants. That afternoon we watched sports. Sunday we watched our Church services then enjoyed sitting on the patio and watching hummingbirds, squirrels, and lots of other birds. Even saw a big Blue Jay several times. I love watering the plants! Hubby got almost all the glue off my incision too. So it feels much better as I wait for more of the feeling to come back.

We have clouds this morning and therefore we are much warmer, low 50's. Today we will probably hang plants back into the trees around the yard. It is...
and that means I am working tomorrow. We are supposed to have 2, that's right... TWO rounds of thunderstorms tomorrow.
Yes! I love thunder and lightning and rain. On second thought, we may wait until Saturday or Sunday to move plants, when it is sunshine and 80.

You will never guess what I did today!!! I took a trip to Venice. A virtual trip to Venice! The tour guide was fabulous! The hour flew by and was most interesting. Now the pictures aren't great but with an Apple Mac, it is so easy to do screen shots. I didn't know if she would allow it so I didn't start until our guide told us it was OK to take pictures. I do hope you enjoy them.
I had several friends this morning send me text pictures of snow. Dallas broke a record low set back in 1918. Baby it's cold outside. I doubt we will hit 60 today and the wind chill is brrrr.
Yes, I have a sweatshirt on! So there won't be any sitting in the sun for my Vitamin D today. I know we will be in the 80's soon so I will hang on to that!

We worked outside this morning! I got all my pots of dead and not coming back plants empty and stored in the shed (and yes I have LOTS). The soil was emptied into a large wheelbarrow and there were quite a few beautiful, fat worms!
My plants will sure be excited to get fresh dirt soon. Then the cold front came blowing in from the north and the temperatures began dropping. The birds got quiet and began looking for a place to hibernate.
I just wanted to stop by before heading to shower off some of the dirt that jumped out of the flower pots onto me instead of the wheelbarrow. So if you are reading on Tuesday, I hope you enjoyed your day. Or if it is already Wednesday, I'll be back for a visit again real soon!
A wonderful Monday day to you. Abit chilly this morning so this will be a Bear Creek soup day with oyster crackers to feel cozy warm. Now where is my warmer sweater for it is needed on a day like today with the temp at 27 above. Laundry Monday pushing the button as the machine does it all. I so remember the days using this machine.Such special memories!

This is usually what I do in the mornings... sit and drink coffee! Ok, I might play a game or two on my ipad! But not this morning.
For some unknown reason, I finished coffee hours ago and I am dressed and on the computer. Guess it is because I really want to be working in the yard. But it is still too chilly right now.
The sun is shining in the window where the tree fell over and the orchids love it. April 13 is the last known freeze for our area and we will get close on Wednesday morning at 35. On Tuesday we will hit 70 before the front comes in and drops 35 degrees and the plants are NOT going to be happy.

The ground is saturated and it looks like it is raining all over our area even though they say it is not hitting the ground. So it is a cold and damp weekend. We are 43-48 and our highs are usually in the 70's this time of year. So searching for a sweater!
Not going to lie... this is how I feel even a week after surgery. My goodness I am ready for this numbness to go AWAY. I am not excited about weeks and months of this! I am not really complaining I hope, just stating a fact.
So what are you going to do this weekend? I don't have a clue what is in store for us. We are waiting on the Septic repairman right now. Will probably be a rather large expense today for weekend call and possible pump replacement. Always fun to wake up on the weekend to the alarm going off. But whatever you do I hope you will share your smile and blessings with everyone you encounter.
This afternoon is flying by so fast and enjoying every moment of it doing this and that and having a cup of some flavored chocolate, vanilla and strawberry coffee called Neapolitan.It is a limited editon from the brand Good & Gather. I do believe this is another one of my favorites. So smooth and tasty.

Ok, I may not do exactly that today. After all it is only 56 now. But if the sun comes out today or tomorrow, I will most certainly be outside checking plants and seeing what to get into.
Thursday is almost over but the great news is... my drain is out and the Doctor said he was impressed with the healing. No pathology report back yet. The cyst or tumor was stuck to the eyebrow nerve. But he tested the nerve after removal and said it was good and will come back. Because it was stuck to the nerve and my history they are running extra tests. He checks for the reports multiple times a day and will call the minute he gets it. So now we wait.
We got 1/2" rain last night and rain is moving into our area now. Tomorrow the chance of rain is all day. So I am waiting for Saturday to go outside and empty potting soil out of pots with no plants coming back, moving pots around and planting a few new things. Hope you can come join me soon!

Such a crazy afternoon for we are still getting off and on snow and a rainy mist. A nice Bear Creek Soup Mix day. i really want to start my garden, but the weather here is so unpredictable...in fact we still might get some snow. i've started a few plants in the house...waiting patiently..lol

This has been a great day to make up some Chili with oyster crackers. Yummy in the Tummy for sure as one sees the snow fall. I do believe I shall have another cup of coffee and continue to read another chapter in a book. My what a lovely day I am having and I hope you are also. Smiles Gloria
I fell asleep at 8:30 but it was a good thing because at 3:30 this morning we had thunder and lightning in the distance. We only got 2/10" of rain but the dogs were upset just enough that there was no more sleep.
The bluebonnets are in full bloom and I was lucky enough to get a video with a big bumblebee and a smaller bee both pollinating a bluebonnet.
Things that survived the freeze are all starting to show signs of green coming out. Then there are a few like the iris above that if you miss a day looking around the yard it will be gone the next day. We do have a bit of sunshine today again but more storms are expected tonight. Now it is time for me to treat the wound with essential oils and rest up so the nerves will regenerate. Share your smile with everyone you meet.
A glorious Monday to you. At the moment I am enjoying a cup of coffee with some dark chcolate almond creamer from coffee mate to make the coffee ever so smooth . Silly me for I am looking forward to seeing some snow coming down this afternoon along with rain. I so like seeing winter and spring mixing together as spring finally wins out. Even at my age it still tickles my inners and puts a smile on my face. You know I'm OK with Monday, but I did think this was cute. Already got Apple support to fix my iCloud storage this morning; finished my scriptures and ready to go out and watch for my hummingbirds. Sat in the sun for a while yesterday since we are to have clouds for the next week or 10 days with slim chances of rain.
I even got my first video of my Ruby Throated Hummingbird yesterday. Hubby moved some of the larger plants that require a dolly to move them for me and I watered everything since rain is a scattered chance at best.
So I'm off to watch for birds and enjoy the day. Not happy about waiting a week, a month, or longer (year) for the nerves in the face, eyebrow, and eyelid to rejuvenate. My ear is still totally numb and part of my face and I'm sure part of my neck. But hey, no pain. Praise God. Thanks again for stopping by as it really does put a smile on my face.
