Busy week for me. Yesterday hubby and I started a project and 5 hours later we were at a stopping point, so we quit for the day. Today, Ole Man Winter surprised us 12-15 hours early. So we had to bring in plants, throw the plastic over some and cover others. Then we had to go to drop off our tax information and thanks to "illness in that area," for the first time ever, we couldn't wait while she did them, sign them, pay for them and be done. So who knows when we will hear from her and get our refund. After we picked up an order at the Vitamin Shoppe we came home with our WhatABurger taquitos. Several hours later, after researching Mac programs equivalent to Windows programs because some Windows programs don't work on iOS, I finally gave up and decided I had better get here to see what you have been doing.
Are you decorating for winter? Or has winter decorated for you already? I know that it will probably get us once or twice in the next 7-10 days. Do you ever feel like this?
I do believe this is how our area handles everything nowadays. Just don't forget our pets and feathered friends. Blessings & Hugs!
hi there, how was your week-end? it's been freezing here, don't think it's gotten past 20 since last friday. i am so ready for spring! hope you have a nice start to your week...warm hugs..mk
Well, the sun finally came out this afternoon and with that a slight warming, repeat, slight. I usually change my nails about every 3 weeks and I finally got that done late yesterday.
So now I'm officially ready for the Super Bowl. Oh no, I mean Valentine's Day. I have always painted my nails and used to make my own swirl colored nails to put on. Now I use ColorStreet! They just stick on and are already decorated but come plain too.
Thought this was a cute idea if anyone is looking for something to make with their grands. Could be made out of paper or felt.
Thanks for your friendship and enjoy every day as if it were Valentine's Day!
Guess who is heading to Texas? I really don't know how some of you survive the cold weather. Really don't know! We are 46, overcast, drizzing rain and it is miserable. And we have lows in the 20's coming for a 7-10 day stay. I love the 90's and am ready for late spring to get here. And I know some of you wonder how we survive our heat. So I'm here just to say
Last night my youngest granddaughter called me to share her exciting news. She has 4 chickens she has raised from baby chicks and just got her first 2 eggs. She will be 12 in 2 weeks. She loves all animals and is a pretty good Whisperer. She wants to be a Vet.
As you may know, I love taking pictures. This morning it was dark when I got up... so I had to wait for clouds to thin out in order to get the burning bush picture above. And even that was about 5 pictures. I love the way God paints the morning and evening sky.
And you have to be patient (not my strong suit) and keep watching. This was about 45 minutes later. I hope you enjoy my pictures. I never tire of taking and sharing them. My hubby says, "Yes, I've seen the moon before."
Good day to you and wishing you a great weekend. Unusually warm here but the cold front will be here soon. My computer has been acting goofy on me but managing to work around it so far but that's the tech we live with. Enjoy your day and keep your feet warm.....George
How is your week going? We have been having cool mornings but the days are nice. Got sheets on spare bed, plants watered, and birdseed in feeder. Backing up everything on second WD my passport after all I do have a few pictures.
And the sunrise was beautiful this morning!
I did finish a wonderful Christian Fiction book this morning by Julianne MacLean. And I am halfway through a Hallmark Signed, Sealed and Delivered movie from last night. I love feel good books and movies. Now I'm going to finish some chores, including cooking a late lunch, so I can finish my movie this evening. Enjoy your day and share your smile with someone. Blessings & Hugs coming to you from me.
Thanks so much for stopping by my page and leaving comments and keeping me up to date. About every 6 weeks, we have friends that come over on a Friday evening. Usually we get the guys to go pick up food after everyone arrives. But this Friday, Keith said he would fix lasagna if someone would bring salad and bread. DONE! Oh my, can he cook! We laughed so hard sitting around the table after dinner for about 4 hours telling tales on each other. Our adopted family, William and his parents, decided to spend the night. Actually, they spent 2 nights. What a wonderful long weekend. Now I am going to finish reading your comments.
Tuesday is half over but it is another sunny day with really nice temperatures in the 50's. Got lots of washing down, floors vacuumed and a few bills paid. So, how is your day going?
The picture above is my grandson. We adopted his family as our own. We are the only grandparents he has ever known. He is 14, 6'1" but his half brother is 6'9" or more. He is so smart and knows so many scriptures but is a trying teen at the same time for his mom. I love sharing my family with you. Hope you come back soon.
it's snowing here, just got done filling up the bird feeders..looks like we are going to get quite a bit of snow...but i love it! wishing you a really nice tuesday...marykay
We had over and inch of rain yesterday with a beautiful 30 minute Texas rain storm. It was a warm front moving up from South Texas. Needless to say, the grass was a little more than wet and the girls weren't interested in going out.
When we get lots of rain, especially when the ground is already soaked, we have a river that runs through the entire back yard. Then around 6:30 am this morning, we had a cool front come through moving at 55 mph. It only took 10 minutes to get another .8" of rain. It was magnificent with lots of lightning (which I love). BUT, guess what...
The SUN is shining for the first time in about 5 days and that is a very long time for us in Texas. So here is to a Blessed week for all of us!
Another dreary day but tomorrow it is supposed to rain. So how is your weekend going so far? Guess I'll just have some peppermint tea and read my kindle book.
Hello happy weekend. Pleasant weather here . Got my new IPad in this week and my grandson came to get it set up for me. He drove round trip about 120 miles and only took him about 20 minutes to do it. He downloaded the stuff in the old one to the cloud then put it in the new one. Sure is nice to have your own in house tech support. The old one was about 13 years old, kept crashing and running very slow. Enjoy your day and stay happy.....George
I have lost count of how long it has been since we have seen the sun. Not much measurable rain; maybe 1/2" rain in 4 days or so. But I NEED sun and sunshine. We have a chance for sun on Monday or Tuesday, that's it for the next 10 days. So I just go to my pictures that are bright and cheerful.
I can't wait for my lemons to finish ripening. Nothing as good as fresh lemonade. So here is to Friday. Hope your weekend is full of Blessings!
hi there, how's your week been going? it's a beautiful day here, but really cold. but i'm glad the sun is shinning. hope your day is happy and peaceful..hugs..marykay
I promised you a picture of my girls. Nicole is 13 and will be 14 later this year. Michelle is going to be 12 in less than a month. Oh wait, you can't see Michelle.
It only took 4 tries to get a picture where Michelle's face was showing. Yes, they love each other and have fun. Nicole is the tallest in her class and Michelle is the shortest in her class.
Goodness, I am blessed! Wayne and Evelyn will have been married 22 years in just a few days. So I am looking forward to seeing your family soon. Beautiful collage of pictures.
So excited that my girls are coming this afternoon. So lots of cleaning, washing, and straightening up going on here. Can't wait to hear how your week is going and what you have been getting into already. My oldest granddaughter got a phone and we have been having sticker wars. So much fun and looking forward to comparing apps. As usual, I am sending
