Yesterday was a bad hair day. We had winds between 40 & 50 mph. It was one of those days where you could hardly get the car door open and then it would try to blow off the hinges. As I was getting in with my hair blowing every direction and shutting the car door, my hair got caught in the door. I had to get the door open again and get my hair out in order to move my head without loosing a lot of hair. Ok, just a strand or two. Gotta love Texas weather. Today is calmer with some sun and even though the rain is coming next week, we should have highs in low 50's to mid 60's for the next 10 days. So, if you don't like your weather come on over for a visit and we will sit on the back porch with blue skies and let all our worries drift with the clouds as we watch the birds fly by.
Hello happy weekend for you. Cool nights here then warming up into the 50's and 60's. Went the other day for the Corona 19 vaccination and had no adverse affects at all then go back first of February for the second. have a great weekend and start for the new week.....George

Running late today having a lot of busy things going on. Did manage to get my covid 19 vaccination though. Hope all is doing well for you so take care and enjoy the rest of the week....George
Each day we start with temperatures just cold enough that my plants that are covered or in garage will not like it uncovered or outside. But we are going to chance it for a day or two. Hopefully we don't get a surprise freeze, even though I don't think any meteorologist in the Dallas area can predict the weather accurately. Then if it is warm enough, I might cut back some things that got burned in the last freeze. But I would rather sit down and read. I have a great Christian fiction book on my kindle that is calling my name.
So what ever you decide to do today, share your smile with someone who needs it. Oh, and that housecleaning Fairy did get lots of stuff thrown out but my goodness there is so much more to do.
Good day to you and wishing you a great weekend. Been warm here but going to have to put the plants under cover as we have some freezing temps coming in.Wife is still in hospital but may get to go to rehab Monday.Poor girl fell Tuesday and has hairline fracture on right shoulder and hip. You enjoy your weekend and keep the feet warm....George
Ok... tomorrow is finally Friday... probably by the time you are reading this. I am so tired at 5 pm I unlocked the door as I was leaving work instead of locking it. I love getting out of the house and I love working with Kelly. I love learning and helping others. But working a week in a row is hard when you aren't use to doing it.
Now weather it is raining or shining I am hoping that you have had a most blessed week. Most of all I want to thank you for stopping by and visiting with me as I always look forward to your visits and hearing about your day.
Nothing but cold rain today and "they" say it is going to turn over to snow! We do not handle snow to well in Alabama. Staying in and staying warm. Hope your day is being nice for you. Enjoy what ever you do today and stay safe.
a very good day to you and hoping all is well . Been having unusual warm weather here being short sleeve type. We really don't have but an occasional freeze like some of you with the snow. Enjoy the rest of the week and stay safe....George
OK, so I retired over 5 years ago and my Financial Advisor and friend since 7th grade told me if I wanted to keep busy I should be an On Call for Edward Jones. So I applied and was hired. The first year was a learning curve doing the training and putting my name out there. I don't remember how much I worked that year but I have worked at 10-12 different offices over the years. The second year I worked just under 1000 hours. The third year over 800 hours. I had over 200 hours before covid hit last year and still ended up with amost 350 hours. After covid started I only worked at one office, my home branch, and decided that I was tired of traveling 20-30 miles one way to different offices in traffic anyway. My home branch is 8 miles one way.
This morning my phone rang and Kelly, FA of my home branch, called and asked if I wanted to work because she was sending Tisha home sick. The picture above is how my day went! I know I am working tomorrow and was already scheduled to work on Wednesday. I might work the whole week and maybe longer. Time will tell. So if you don't hear from me, please don't panic. I'll check in when I can. Edward Jones is a great place to work part time or full time... Thank goodness I have a wonderful Hubby that can help at home, even though he doesn't know how to turn the computer on let alone pay bills online.
My how time flys when you are having fun. Where do the days go? Thank you for stopping by my place even when I just can't seem to get here.
I hope you know how much your friendship means to me. We had over 4" of rain the past 3 days. But this morning the clouds were breaking up and the sun is now shining. So I hope you enjoy my morning picture.
Top of the morning to you and hope all and hope all is well with you and yours. A beautiful cool day for starting the new year here . Great football games happening if your into it to enjoy. enjoy your weekend and have a safe week....Gorge
It is a cold and rainy day here today. The good news is the Texas Longhorns won the Alamo Bowl last night. More college football today and tomorrow even though I work tomorrow morning. Besides there will be more rain tomorrow and even though we shouldn't get snow, there is a slim possibility flakes might make an appearance.
Six more eggs were in the nest box again today and I am hoping that I will get that many tomorrow before my neighbors get back home. But I do feel sorry for the chickens in the rain.
Hi Nancy, your Winter page is so pretty! We'll be home for New years as well. Especially since we have rain on the way. Probably will get cold after that. I'll begin the process of undecorating for Christmas and that's always a little sad but feels good to get things organized at the same time. Wishing you a happy new year with good health and happiness.
A happy new year to you and wishing a healthy one also ! The wife finished her chemo and radiation , got home from the hospital Christmas day and I started my radiation Monday so we're ready for a great new year. Adios 2020 at last. Here we go, here we go....George
What a year this has been! I think we are all ready for a new beginning. This last week of the year I am babysitting the chickens next door. They have 6 chickens and get 6 eggs a day. Can you believe it?
I am not one that changes my homepage very often, but I just couldn't resist this picture. I have a friend who designs tutorials and she asked a mutual friend to help with the coding. So I hope you like my new page and the quote. I am beyond excited!
