Not too bad here today,, got out early and picked cherry tomatoes and

froze them to make spaghetti sauce sometime later when I need it, Got

some green beans..they're about gone I think so pulled up a few bushes

and put in compost pile. Still a few blooms on those left so will wait a bit

longer before pulling them up too. Have 2 bags of green beans in freezer

already so am cooking up what I got today and will add some small potatoes

later to them for dinner.

I saw some squash bugs on plants yday so will look for them this evening after

the sun goes down and try to kill as many as I can find.. Egg plants still small

and growing but will wait to pick them when they hopefully get a bit bigger,

I like them stuffed with burger-like spaghetti sauce mix I use for pasta.

Been watching the 1776 convoy in DC on you tube..they visited many of the war

memorials today and was nice to see again so many of the places I visited when I

lived in Virginia.

The construction guy is still working on Joyce and Bobby's garage! Cannot believe

how long it is taking him! But he let his crew go and is working alone and doesn't

work everyday either for some reason! I know Joyce is frustrated.

Judy's daughter has new job at Kawasaki plant..Starts at $18/hour and she gets $30

in OT..and has good benefits but says they are having trouble hiring and retaining

workers so still not running 3 shifts yet. Some people walk off job after 1 day,

this week one guy left at noon on his 1st day and said" this is not for me!" She

says no one wants to work anymore! Many have gotten welfare and food stamps

for so long they have forgotten what it is to work for a living!

07/24/2022 19:25:55 I had cataracts removed too 94f here and partly cloudy..watered early and that was it for any work lol Making stovetop stuffing to go with chicken and green beans and tomatoes and corn on cob. Need a nap..c ya tomorrow xo

Judy came early today as daughter she baby sits for is off today,,vacced for me, took grocery list and will bring back this afternoon.

Hoy humid and 99f forecast,

Got out at 8 AM and watered

TV guy said his shade cloth is working well over his tomatoes and he 's

ordering more now for next year to be sure he can get it.

No idea whats for dinner tonight,,am hungry but not in mood for

anything in particular,,

Good afternoon..just in from feeding birds and outside cats.

Was not too bad a day,,just 95F..watered plants mid morning..

haven't done much at all today but rest and watch tv.

Need to get out and drive the car!

Judy says the new little cafe where her daughter works is doing

pretty well so far..only open from 6Am to 2 PM and stays open till

8PM on Fridays only. Hope it makes it.

Another hot one here..94 on my back porch.

Gpt out at 8 AM and watered back yard plants.

got a few more

green beans but they are not making like they

should by this time. Am getting cherry tomatoes and

called nabor Joyce to come over and get some as she

haas only green ones so far.

Are only 2 fruits on my big boys tomatoes and no more

blooms..heat is just killing the garden!

Judy brought in groceries at noon and talking about

high prices..wonder when it will stop rising?? She got a new

tax assessment on her house and car and said taxes had

tripled from last year,,haven't gotten mine yet.
