Hubby got a new belt on the lawn mower yesterday evening so I got the backyard mowed. Today he is already washing my car and will probably wash the orange Tahoe too.
Even after 2 cups of coffee, I am moving slowly. I walked around the backyard and decided I really need to spray for bugs. So I came in to the computer room instead. We are already 80 and have 7 days or more of mid 90's with light winds.
Now I can hardly wait to hear from you and see what you are doing this weekend. After all, just one more cup of coffee should get me started.
It has been a good day so far. We got several of our todos completed already. And yesterday at work was fun as always with Kelly there.
I can't believe how fast the weeds are growing. We just got mulch put down and here the weeds are peaking through. We are going to be in my mid 90's for the next 7 days. Where did Spring go? In a week or two, kids will be out of school! The beach will soon be crowded.
Well, whatever you are doing this weekend, have fun and share your smile. Hopeful Hubby will get the riding lawn mower deck cutting again. Guess I had better fix a late lunch or early dinner before I water my plants (note the milkweed in this picture for the Monarch butterflies).
Cheryl, I didn't realize you only had a window A/C unit.
My goodness this week sure went by fast doing this and that each day. May you have a glorious weekend that is coming up sharing your smiles. Now where did I put my coffee cup this time.
Goodness daydreaming for it is in my hand as I am looking out trying to see a dandelion. Smiles Gloria
Well I could not stand 88 degrees with no air conditioning, Cherly. Ourss is set at 73 for heat or air. Lately we''ve had the heat on as the weather hasn't been that great. I went and had a pedicure then did a little shopping at a department store. Got two blouses and 2 pair of sandles so I'll have some new shoes. Got something to eat as it was after 3 in the afternoon when I got home, then started dinner of beef tips. Cooked them longer than needd so dinner was a bit later than usual, but it sure was good. Had mashed potatoes along with it and a a tomatoe, cuck and onion salad. Hopefully we'll eat at the post tomorrow nite or out somewhere. Hugs, Wendy
A nice rainy morning in our area. Now where did I put my rain boots so I can splash in the puddles. I like that happy thought. May you have a nice day loving life and all the beauty around you as you share your smile with all. Smiles Gloria

Send some of that warm air my way, Cherly. We are overcast and rainy - just misty today with a high of 56 but could still get rain. The tide was so high yesterday, that it wahed some houses away that were so near the shore in Virginia Beach, Va. Reminds me of the '64 flooding we had that year where parts of the Atlantic City boardwalk were washed away and many houses were totaly gone or moved blocks away or partly out to sea. The whole Jersey coast had damages. I put my jade plant outside cause it was nice weather - I know it's not getting too cold at nite, but I can't think he's too happy with the cooler temps - not like in the house. Went back to PT today and thing were fine, then the pain started a couple hours later when at home. Rich gave me a knee brace, but it's my hip and thing that hurts, but it does take the strain off my knee as that was starting to hurt. I go back on Friday and we leave on vacation Monday 9am. I still need to make my list as to what I need - that's the worst part of going on vaca. Have a good tomorrow and take care. Stay well also.
I had to be outside real early this morning to catch this beautiful sunrise, 6:20 am. Now, don't be shocked, but I haven't been back outside since then. And even more shocking is that I cooked today.
Boneless, skinless chicken thighs and Carrot Zucchini Casserole from Allrecipes. I know, crazy good. But today I am feeling guilty because I work tomorrow. hehehe
Tomorrow while you are enjoying the day, I will have makeup and real clothes on (still in my gown now!) and Hubby will have leftovers! If I can save up enough $ to go to the grocery store and buy cabbage, my next recipe is from happygirl44, Shirley, called Cheesy Ritz Cabbage Casserole. I found one similar on RecipeLion. Of course it may be a while because I sure don't want everyone thinking that I often cook.
Thanks for being my friend and I'll be back in a day or two.
We have a glorious sunny day and the temps in the 50's. Spring is in the air and the grass is getting greener and greener each day. Yes this is going to be a very nice day to do this and that around the home and yard. May you have a precious day just enjoying the moment. Smiles Gloria

Wow - 88 at your place - it was only 56 here today that's a whole 30 + difference. We will warm up to 70 by the end of the week but who knows if it'll stay that way. It's unusually cold for this time of year too. It was a quiet weekend for me - we played dominos on Sunday and it was my turn to cook for all of us and I made Shepard's Pie - had too many potatoe on top but otherwise it was good as always. One couple we play with are on WW so they didn't eat any of the potatoes - wasn't happy watcheing them throw them all away and that's becaue I make them with whole milk and that's too many points for them. Makes me not want to cook anymoore. We are leaving next week to go to Patriot's Point, S.C. camping with them. Rich always told me he wanted to take me there but never did. He was full of promises when we first got together but doesn't want to do anything anymore. They are going to the Outer Banks next month and want us to go with them there also. I'm just hoping I'll be a ble to do all the walking that's required. I start PT again tomorrow but I really don't think it's gonna do any good at least not by the time we leave. Sure hope it cools down your way before the summer starts. I know we've had the AC on and off a couple of times - sure not good for the electric bill! Enjoy the rest of the nite. Sweet dreams, Wendy
We had a wonderful, fun time with lots of laughter. I hope your Mother's Day was just as special. Just a couple more weeks and school will be out.
Today we are taking turns with the push mower on our 3/4 acre lot. Ok, I am taking turns on the gas self-propelled mower and Hubby is doing both gas and electric. It is very humid and warm for this fat girl.
