Surely April means Spring! I know it means showers as we are supposed to get rain on Monday and Tuesday. I just hope it means the temperatures won't drop into the 30's again.
I am so ready to put flowers in the yard and hanging baskets full of flowers in the trees. We still need to clean out several flower beds and buy red mulch for all of them.
I am anxious to see butterflies and hummingbirds pollinating and all the beautiful colors of Spring. With all that being said, I am heading to the yard and sending you lots of ...
I had a busy day going to lunch at the senior center then went milling around at a consignment place but nothing jumped out at us. Then we went to get some fruits and veggies and gave some to the neighbor as he does so much for Rich during the summer months. After that we went to dinner with a group of friends that we've been going out with for a long time. Glad to be home and resting as my hip has started hurting again and I don't get a shot til the 5th then it takes a day or two to take affect. So I'll be taking asprin while around the house and a motrin 800mg tomorrow before going out to the post for the nite. Have a great Friday Cherly. We only had a few sprinkles of rain this evening and I think it has blown out to sea. Hugs good nite, Wendy
Good Afternoon! It is almost Friday which means that it is almost the weekend. Well, it is the last day of March.
And before we know it, April will become May! Time flies the older we get and boy, there are days I do feel old. Ok, today may not be one of them. I am missing the warmer temperatures though as today is only 61°.
I am going to remind you to share your smile, send blessings & hugs to you, and leave you with words of wisdom...
We had rain for a few days~Now its nice 72~Birds are very busy~ We have Blue Jays~Finchs~Humming Birds~Alot of little Brown sparrows~ Hope you are well~ Enjoy your Evening~ Hugs Lorri
We survived the early morning storms. After an inch of rain there were lots of traffic accidents reported. I only heard of one microburst that did major wind damage in our area.
I still haven't seen any hummingbirds but if they tried to get to the feeder, they would get seasick, swinging in the wind. It is still blowing like crazy here. Today is only in the 60's and it is not as humid as it has been lately though.
But before we know it, all our time will be spent outside playing with plants and lots of yard work. So don't forget to take time to smell the roses. Thanks for being my friend!
I have been in the car when the wind blows across the dry fields so I know what it's like to drive in that condition. Went for the follow up appoint w/doc to see what the x ray of my knee showed - arthritis. Guess it went raveling down from my hip and here I thought it was just inflamation from hobbling on that leg. Guess I'll be getting shots there too now. Had small strip steaks for dinner and a salad - just enough as I sure wasn't hungry as I ate a late lunch. Tomorrow it's gonna go up to 60 and Thurs to 70's so March is gona go out like a lamb afterall. One day you have snow and the next it's 80 - your weather is a bit nuts too huh? Can't predict Mtoehr Nature. Havea good Wednessday, Cheryl. Hugs, Wendy
Hang on to your hat and tie down everything! We worked in the yard yesterday morning; then we ran a couple of errands. Today I mowed and bagged weeds while Hubby worked in the flower beds.
Wind is at about 25 mph with lots of gusts. Our wind warning starts in a couple hours. I thought the wind was going to pick up one of the dogs and carry them off. Late tonight we have rain and storms.
So after a Taco Salad for lunch, I think I will sit and read the new book I started yesterday. I am sure we will watch the Aggies and Longhorns baseball game this evening too. it will be a completely packed sold out game! Tell me, what are you doing today?
Evening Cheryl - how was your weekend - hope you had a good time. Mine was full with the oyster roast on Sat. - turned out we spent 8 hours there and had a great time - don't eat them - had a chickent platter instead. It was a big sucess and lots of people turned out. Looked at a camper on Sunday - was exactly what I wanted, only a year or so old, in perfect condition and at a great price, but I don't think honey will bite. He hates to come off the purse strings as it takes away money from his almost 50 year old daughter when he dies. Went to new dentist today - it's a dental school really. Had a most thorough exam ever but they said almot exactly what the other one said - but involved more so was more expensive. Of coure they have a payment plan. It was sunny, windy and in the lower 50's - needed a jacket but better than snow that they had in Mass.!!! Have a sweet nite. Hugs, Wendy
