Stormy looking weather yesterday evening. Wednesday we were above 80° and working just a little in the backyard, I broke a sweat. Thursday we got the yard mowed; all the dead grass bagged up and ready for trash pick up.
Of course it is much cooler today. And we still have to put fertilizer down probably this weekend before we have a chance of rain on Monday. I am anxiously awaiting April when I should be able to move plants out from under the plastic into the trees and the yard.
You know... head 'em up and move 'em out. Yes, right now I think I am ready for summer. Yee Haw!
Are you wearing green? I am wearing orange (big surprise) with maybe a hint of hidden green.
I know! I can wear a hat. Do you have a hat to wear?
OK! Everybody looks like they are ready to go to the St. Patrick's Day party. Do we have to bring something to eat? I want something green to drink, maybe green tea!
Do you know what time you will be here to pick me up for the parade and the party? Which pair of dancing shoes are you wearing? May I have this dance?
Hope you have a safe trip while on the road to your daughter's house, Cheryl. Enjoy your visit. My grandfather had a big rose garden behind the house, boy could he grow them! Our kitchen window looked out at them, they also lined the back of the house. One of my favorite ones was called Peace. There were all colors of roses from yellow, orange, pink, red and white. One of the nicer memoriess of growing up in my grandparants house. Have a peaceful nite's sleep. Hug, Wendy
Midway through the week and washing lots of muddy dog towels. Yes, we forgot to put the doggy door on first thing this morning.
Do you have any magic up your sleeve? Or anything magical planned for St. Patrick's Day tomorrow? Will you be wearing green?
Cats may be finicky eaters but I bet they don't come in with muddy feet or mud caked between their toes! Thank goodness it is warm and they can stay outside until we get everything vacuumed and mopped. Then they will all get a bath and we will start the entire process over again.
Hi there. The weather here just can't make up its mind what it wants to do. Last week it was spring like and this week its back to winter time. We got some snow last night and its already melted. I would much rather have some rain. Tomorrow is back to feeling like spring time. Yeah! I'm not a winter person. More of a spring and fall person. I hope you are having a good Friday and have a great weekend also. Take care and talk to you again soon. Hugs, Cheryl
I am also a spring and fall person! If only we could have more of those 2 seasons it would be just great lol. Hope your week is going nicely for you so far :)
Don't understand how missing out on an hour's sleep woul affect someone - but then I never had the problem. It was 67 and sunny - I was inside all day - wanted to get out but didn't. Started making split pea soup this afternoon and we ate around 6:30 - had some kind of bread - like French but softer and butter of course. Turned out good conidering I've never made it before. When reearching it, all the ricipiess seemed just about the same. Not sure how someone ele makes it. Wishing you a good nite. Hugs, Wendy
It might be just one of those days! Do you know what to do to change that? Share your smile with others.
After our 1" of rain we are smiling except when the dogs come in the doggy door with wet and sometimes muddy feet. Then they do something cute and irresistible and make us smile again.
Hi Cheryl and happy Monday to you - hope your weekend went well - probably went as fast as mine. Lost by butt off last nite at dominos, but what else is new? We play every Sunday evening from 4 till midnite or however long it takes us to finish. The third gal finally showed up and it was her turn to cook - had a canned ham (yuk - tasted like spam-and I do eat spam but not like that - also had canned potatoes and cabbage with it. Said she needed something quick to make. It's sunny and 56 out and I've been in the house all day doing wash, drying, changing the sheets, and taking care of my plants and have swept the floor twice! It's almost time to get ready to go to the post (VFW) for the men's meeting. It's always a good turnout and the auxillary has tickets to sell to help keep the cost of ther membership down, so we should sell a lot! Hope you had a good start to the week. Take care and stay well, hugs, Wendy
