We ended up with 1.5" of rain yesterday (.8" day before) and no sunshine until about 7 pm today. So yes, we are soggy! Then Sunday through next Wednesday we have a pretty good chance for guess what... rain!
What are you doing today? There are so many little things that NEED to be done but this dreary weather does not inspire me to do anything. I hope to get something done before I watch for hummingbirds today.
I'm off to find the sun and a fairy to help me accomplish my chores today. Share your smile as I am sending you Blessings & Hugs!
The sun is shining finally and the rain has stopped. Will be making some graduation cards today - time is flying! Have a wonderful, lovely day! Hugs, Nancy
We had 8/10" of rain yesterday and we are getting more rain right now. I try to share with friends all the time in Lubbock and Alice but it seems to love us here.
Can't see out my windows any more and the heavy stuff isn't even here yet. Thank goodness we got our Taco Tuesday meal earlier today. So now are you ready for the middle of the week. Time flies!
Thanks for being my friend, for stopping by to share your day, and for sharing your smile.
So here we all are chowing down on salad and Chicken & Biscuit Dumplings. My girls love to cook and did an awesome job preparing it.
Look how big the chickens have gotten. And what great egg producers they are too. They are so curious. They kept trying to peck my phone in my hand.
My son will forever be 12 and never grow up. This was before lunch was ready. Of course, when we left they were heading out to go play volleyball against another family. They are always going somewhere and doing something.
After all, he is a good father, husband, son and son-in-law. Connie and I both got beautiful flowers from him.
And since my adopted family lives less that 10 miles from my kids, we got to go over there and visit for a while too. So proud of them too.
My grandson, William, won the headset he is wearing playing whatever it is he plays in #1 position and is working on winning $1000. He also teaches and mentors other new players.
Well, I hope you had a blessed Mother's Day and are having sun shining upon you (as we are in a heavy misty day awaiting rain tonight and all day tomorrow).
First... Blessed Mother's Day to all ladies! Yesterday I had to go back to the store and get all my ingredients to make Chicken & Dumpling Biscuits recipe. My son wants me to bring everything to their house and teach the girls how I make it on Sunday! After 2-1/2 hours of shopping, up and down every aisle, and maybe coming home with a dozen more plants...
Then after mowing the yard, there was some planting going on at my house. Needless to say, Hubby and I were pretty sore by the time we quit at 4:30. Watched nationally ranked #6 Texas Longhorns beat Texas Christian University #3 in baseball 5-4. I was over at 11:30 pm. We play again today and tomorrow.
So now, I'm off to get lots done before and after the baseball game. So much to do... so little time! Don't forget to share your smile.
Every day is a good day to be alive, whether the sun's shining or not. WE hope the sun shines bright on your day, that your breakfast tastes fantastic, that you hit every green light, and that people treat you with kindness. You put that energy into the world all the time. You deserve to get some back!
Sending my best wishes for a lovely weekend. It's sunny here, the calm before the storm. Looks like a wet Mother's Day but hope you all enjoy celebrating the mothers in your lives! Hugs, Nancy
