A wonderful afternoon this has been. Spring is more in the air and I am liking it. Soon March will be here as spring and winter clide together off and on during the month. I do belive I need another cup of coffee to make my day even brighter. May you have a nice evening and a glorious weekend . Smiles Gloria

Hello Cuz. Just popping in the Hill for a minute then off to be busy. We had a little snow. Normally I go out and make a snowman, but I'm not up to it anymore. Boo hoo. Oh well, we all get older and can't do stuff we used to. I don't like it but I laugh at a lot of stuff I do now. Better to laugh then cry, right? Take care of yourself my friend. Love and hugs to you.
good morning and happy friday. i hope you have had a nice week. it's gotten much warmer here, and the snow is melting, could it be that spring might come a little early? thank-you for your friendship, i wish you a wonderful day...much love mk
My Goodness what a beautiful winter afternoon. One can almost smell spring in the air. I think I am dreaming, wake up Gloria and have a cup of tea. My favorite tea these days is sweet tangerine by Yogi. I so do enjoy my tea's in the afternoon and evening time. May you have pleasant moments for the rest of your day. SMiles Gloria

good morning...hope all is well in your world. sun is shining bright here today, the birds are singing...and not so cold. hopefully that's a sign all of this really bad winter weather is done reaking havok on this country. my thoughts and prayers go out to people in texas who are suffering . i wish you a day of happiness and peace...mk
We lost electricity early Monday morning about 2:30 am and went 14 hours without any. At about 36 hours we had only had maybe 5 hours of power. Now we are in rolling blackouts but the entire time we have been able to stay warm. However, a cousin in Arlington has had no electricity since early Monday morning, as do hundreds of thousands of people in Texas. My friend in Alice, near Corpus Christi, not only hasn't had electricity since early Monday morning, but now they have no water as the pumps are out and are supposed to boil water (with no electricity). Needless to say...
Again, we are OK right now. But please keep people all over in your prayers because so many are hurting from pipes bursting and destroying their homes, from homes catching on fire and dying from carbon monoxide poisoning (I think 18 children were admitted yesterday).
Our area has had around 6-8" of snow and most businesses are closed. There are warming stations set up all around. As the power will let me, I will read your messages as they cheer me up.
Stay warm and take good care of yourself and check on your neighbors. Blessings & Hugs!
Hi, my friends, thank you, thank you, thank you, for all your wonderful comments. They have lifted my spirits. I do hope you are healthy and happy, and doing fun things.
Oh my gosh, it has been so long since I have been able to spend any time here on The Hill. I'm quarantined/out of work since March and I am busier than I have ever been. I started replacing rotten siding last November and a freak snowstorm dropped almost 2 feet of extremely soaking wet/heavy snow. So, there sits the bottom of my front wall all torn off and waiting until Spring for me to finish, along with my porch, torn off the house listing/sinking backward. There are buckets under it to keep it solid/sturdy.
In September refer died so I had to have a new one installed. It was on it's last leg and not cooling, and at the bottom was freezing veggies. Well, the delivery guys were kids and couldn't grasp the basic fundamentals of the mechanics of the mask, so I ended up catching the common cold (rhinovirus). I wore 2 masks, so that pretty much proves to me what they are saying about: my mask protects others not so much me; but others masks are what protect me more than mine does. I do have N-95 left over from working construction the last 45 years, with a double bandanna on top of that.
All the holidays have been quiet 'cause I can't go anywhere & no one can visit. The virus has been wicked spiking here in NH; and now we have the variants. So I am so careful, washing anything and everything as it is brought into the house, and lots of hand-washing.
Working on taxes now, and getting rid of clutter, and sorting/sprucing-up/repairs/maintenance/deep cleaning. Oiy!!! Then with what's been going on since all of 2020 with that putrid, fly-infested, steaming, orange pile of pig diarrhea, desecrating our Democracy and the Capital. I can't even process any of it any more. I'm in the Twilight Zone!!!!
Well, have a great Valentine's and Winter, I'm still planning on getting here on The Hill a whole lot more often. Stay happy and healthy and have fun.
It is hard to believe that Valentine's Day is so close. I hope you have a wonderful day today and everyday and Valentine's too.
How are you doing?
I am so sorry it is been so long since I was on here. I try to come and do comments but seems like, just as I sit down to that very things something is always coming up and I get up and make breakfast, or dinner or something else. Just life. Thank you so much for being my friend and not giving up on me. I am doing fine so far thank goodness. I hope you are too. I am taking Bob out to a nice restaurant tomorrow because it is closed on Sundaay for Valentine's Day. He got me the most beautiful pendant necklace with a pearl incased with gold and some diamonds I hope you are doing well dear friend. So sorry Doc Shell took down her background site.
