Such a beautiful picture this is and that is what it looks like here with the braches on the trees full of ice and snow. Breathtaking site! Sounds like some more snow coming our way for Sunday. MY how I love the winter days as this season shows off its beauty. May you have a pleasant weekend. Smiles Gloria
Yesterday was a bad hair day. We had winds between 40 & 50 mph. It was one of those days where you could hardly get the car door open and then it would try to blow off the hinges. As I was getting in with my hair blowing every direction and shutting the car door, my hair got caught in the door. I had to get the door open again and get my hair out in order to move my head without loosing a lot of hair. Ok, just a strand or two. Gotta love Texas weather. Today is calmer with some sun and even though the rain is coming next week, we should have highs in low 50's to mid 60's for the next 10 days. So, if you don't like your weather come on over for a visit and we will sit on the back porch with blue skies and let all our worries drift with the clouds as we watch the birds fly by.
good morning! hope you had a nice week...we are getting more snow here...2 to 4 inches...i don't have to go anywhere so going to enjoy it..have a lovely friday...much love marykay
This is what it looked like here this morning but after a few hours it started to melt. That's the only snow I like, the kind that comes and goes quickly! lol
Nothing but cold rain today and "they" say it is going to turn over to snow! We do not handle snow to well in Alabama. Staying in and staying warm. Hope your day is being nice for you. Enjoy what ever you do today and stay safe.
May your day be ever so nice to you. Up north the sun is shinning and the snow is glistening.
I do believe I will make up a cup of caramel vanilla cream flavored coffee from green mountain to make my moments even more brighter. May you have a joy in your heart as you do your daily duties and I will do the same. Smiles Gloria
OK, so I retired over 5 years ago and my Financial Advisor and friend since 7th grade told me if I wanted to keep busy I should be an On Call for Edward Jones. So I applied and was hired. The first year was a learning curve doing the training and putting my name out there. I don't remember how much I worked that year but I have worked at 10-12 different offices over the years. The second year I worked just under 1000 hours. The third year over 800 hours. I had over 200 hours before covid hit last year and still ended up with amost 350 hours. After covid started I only worked at one office, my home branch, and decided that I was tired of traveling 20-30 miles one way to different offices in traffic anyway. My home branch is 8 miles one way.
This morning my phone rang and Kelly, FA of my home branch, called and asked if I wanted to work because she was sending Tisha home sick. The picture above is how my day went! I know I am working tomorrow and was already scheduled to work on Wednesday. I might work the whole week and maybe longer. Time will tell. So if you don't hear from me, please don't panic. I'll check in when I can. Edward Jones is a great place to work part time or full time... Thank goodness I have a wonderful Hubby that can help at home, even though he doesn't know how to turn the computer on let alone pay bills online.
I got all the Christmas decorations down and put away for another year. Now it's time to concentrate on my house before Spring gets here and then it'll be time for me to get my garden beds ready. Gosh, I can't wait!
My how time flys when you are having fun. Where do the days go? Thank you for stopping by my place even when I just can't seem to get here.
I hope you know how much your friendship means to me. We had over 4" of rain the past 3 days. But this morning the clouds were breaking up and the sun is now shining. So I hope you enjoy my morning picture.
Hello Pam, hope your holidays were good. Kind of quiet here but still thankful for our health and good food and family. The new year brought some rain with it but we are needing rain. Per our southern tradition today's menu will be blackeyed peas and rice and some kind of greens. Peaces for peace and rice for riches and green for money. Not a superstitous lot a bit, are we? Wishing you good health and happiness in the coming year Pam, for you and your family! Huggies, Beth
I feel just like this kitty looks after a wonderful Christmas day with the Family.
Wishing yours to be as good as it possibly can be. Luv and hugs little Cuz ...
HAPPY CHRISTMAS!

I've not been here in so long that I forgot my way around. I just fumbled around until I finally figured out how to answer this message.
Oh, the memories I have of years ago, when I used to go out on New Years Eve and dance the night away. Now I would only want to do a slow dance. Think I still remember how. I really remember 60 yrs. ago. I was at hospital and my middle child Doug was born. He came 4 hrs. before midnight, so I missed our on having New Year's baby....lol....
I'm so thanksul I can remember, these memories, after my sister died from complications from dementia, she had lost all her memories. A sad disease for those who get it. Hugs, and Happy New Year my friend. Sonn
