Gosh there are times when I miss the sunshine so very much!  Now rain and thunderstorms, I love them.  But cloudy and dreary weather is not my thing.  

Do you just like quiet time to sit and think?  What do you think about or wonder about?  

On a cloudy day you might not even be able to see each step in this winding staircase.  There is not a room in our house that is dark even at night.  

There is beauty all around us!  I wonder where those steps lead?  I am not a hiker but I love to take off in the car and just turn down a road to see where it goes.  

Just about anyone who spends time with my hubby really loves to just sit and listen to his stories, mostly true, of his life.  He has an awesome memory (he is awesome) and each story is an adventure!  

One of my precious friends sent this recently and I love my quiet times saying prayers for each of my friends.  Yes, I am thinking of you and sending you... 

Good Morning!  I am thankful for a beautiful day.  This past week we got a little rain and by mid January we will drop into the 20's.  But today we should have some sunshine and get near 60 before the next several cold fronts.  

I am thankful for the ups and downs that keep our hopes alive and guessing, "What is next?"  

So whether you have lots of snow, some snow or no snow on the ground, let's be thankful for what we have now. 

 I seem to remember that many, many years ago, I might have prayed for snow.  What was I thinking?  I always tell others to be careful what you ask for and here I am hoping I don't get what I asked for.  

This Sunday, I am just trying to be thankful for His protection and the blessings I have right now.  

Don’t just ask Me to bless what you have already decided to do. Ask Me what I want for you. I may fill your heart with a dream that seems impossibly far beyond your reach. And that dream will be bigger than anything you can do on your own. But remember, nothing is beyond My reach.

I think we survived the first week of the year.  I hope it has been a wonderful week for you and your family.  

We are just chilling this week.  We will wait until next week to run our errands.  

Do you think the eagle and the bear are both chilling?  One thing for sure, they are not looking at each other.  

You are welcome to sit with us for a spell and chill.  We always have coffee and something to eat.  

Make every day a Happy Day whether you are just chilling or hard at work.  

The first week of the year is flying by.  We are trying not to leave the house until all kids and teachers are back in school.  Too much Traffic!!!!  

I don't think I have given you your 2024 New Years kisses yet.  The only way to wish you the best year of your life!  

Maybe you are like my grandson and just not the hugging kind of person.  So I will just blow you a Good Year kiss.  

Even the Preacher at Church told my grandson that he will heal the hearts of many people with his Hugs.  So you know that I am always sending you... 

Middle of the week is here, sort of.  Wednesday and it is still winter.  I know, I have several months to go.  

At least it is a new year.  But the last year is gone.  Sometimes we just don't realize what new means.  

The wind is so icy and it just cuts right through you.  Even the snowman is not very happy.  

You will NOT see me outside on a sled.  In fact, if there is snow on the ground, you probably won't see me outside at all.  

The snowman or Rbt will have to bring the mail inside to me.  Now I am off to turn the electric heater on so don't get too close or you might melt.  

 Tuesday is always a good day... Tacos on Tuesday are our favorite.  

Also to see the sun coming up and the beautiful colors it creates each morning just seems to start the day off right.  

I love looking up because every minute of every day the sky is completely different and you won't see it like that again, unless you take a picture.  

Keep on asking Him for your desires because you never know when He will grant you your wish.  His Blessings will pour down on you when you least expect it.  Be sure to say Thank You!  

We made it to 2024!  At least I hope we both made it!  Here we go!  I wonder where this year will lead us.  

Did you stay up last night?  Did you shoot off fireworks?  Or did you fall asleep long before midnight?  

May this year bring you and your family the best of everything that God has in store for you.  You know that I wish you every day loads of Blessings when I visit with you!

Well, 2023 is coming to an end.  Where did the time go?  And soon it will be 2024, I'm sure there will be fireworks going off around the neighborhoods.  As for me, I'm just going to have a nice quiet evening with a bowl of popcorn and movies on Hallmark and Lifetime channel.  And who knows if I will manage to stay up till midnight to ring in the new year.  Whatever it is you do to celebrate the new year, I hope you have fun and stay safe...  May 2024 be a wonderful year for all of us.. Sunday Blessings to you and your family on this last day of 2023.  

Are you ready for all the fireworks?  All of our neighbors set off fireworks at EVERY occasion.  

And every one of them has dogs and maybe a cat.  Our 3 dogs do NOT like them or thunder or lightning.  You would think after all these years they would get used to it.  

Help us to leave this year behind us with forgiveness and find Peace with the new year we are about to start.  

Hey, it is the last time we will see a Caturday in 2023.  You know what is coming, don't you!

Winter is coming!  OK, maybe some of you have already had a taste.  The wind this past week has been brutally icy!  

I know the snowmen love winter, and some of you crazy people do too.   I'm just crazy about you being my friend.  

Did you know that Spring is just 81 days away.  I love beautiful blooming flowers... and warmer temperatures.  

So for now we will enjoy that Caturday is here with a smile!  Because there is so much to look forward to in 2024.  

Yes this Friday, the last one in 2023, is a blessing from God.  What a year it has been!  

Just think of all the things God has made and think about bees and how they make honey.  

Bees have been around a long time and the honey they make is the best.  

God made bees very unique just like He made you and I so different and unique and yet He made us friends.  

So here is some advice to take into the new year from God's Honey Bee.  

Thoughtful Thursday is a day to reflect as this year comes to an end.  

Think about all the beautiful things you have seen over the years.  

Especially those places close to home or even in your own neighborhood.  

Remember all the wonderful people you have met over the years even if some of them are just online.  

God has done some unusual things in our lives and be thankful even if we don't understand them all.  

I am blessed by your friendship and I am sharing those blessings with you!  

It doesn't seem like it is the middle of the week.  Are you still recovering from Christmas?  I am working this week so I am very happy!  

I hope that it is a beautiful sunrise on this Wednesday for you!  Our weather was  warmer for Christmas and now it is cold for us starting in the low 30's.   

Most days are dreary this time of year.  I am ready for Spring and Summer and all the colors that come with it.  

If I was at home, I would look like this dog... wrapped in a blanket just because I know it is winter.  Blessings to You!  

Tuesday is here and Christmas is over.  I hope you and your family are still celebrating the Birth of our Savior.  

I also hope you have time for a nap today too.  I am working today and the rest of this week.  But it should be a quiet week.  

Are any of your family staying for a few more days or is it time to say goodbye to the grandchildren?  I hope you had fun and made memories with them all.  

So is now the best time to plan your vacations for next year?  I'll bet Santa is on an island somewhere warm, eating all the cookies that were left for him.  

Now we will have withdrawals from Thanksgiving pies, Christmas cookies, and wonderful meals with family and friends.  I'll drink a glass of milk to that as I finish the last cookie!  

Today is the day!  Monday!  Oh, finally Christmas Day is here!  

Do you have a snow globe?  I think they are so fun and beautiful!  

I really like watching the snowfall inside of the globes.  

Well, guess what I got for Christmas.  A gorgeous Church snow globe and this picture does not do it justice.  

It has batteries and when you turn it on, it will stay on for 4 hours and go off for 20 hours.  The glitter snow is so beautiful.  I love watching it.  

I hope you got just what you wanted and that you celebrated Jesus' Birthday!

Friday is for the Dogs and it will soon be Christmas.  Are all your pets ready for their presents?  

Is this a real dog or is it a stuffed animal?  It does look a lot like one of our dogs.  So cute!  

Maybe you are getting a new puppy for Christmas.  Talk about cute!  There is nothing like a baby.  

And yet, there is nothing like the unconditional love of the old family pet that is always happy to see you with lots of kisses.  

Especially when they know in their heart that you are Santa to them every day of the year.  My hubby is the "Snackie Man."  However, I have been known to sneak a bite of what I am eating  to them from time to time!

I know that by now, your tree is up and decorated and there are probably presents wrapped under it... that is if you are putting a tree up this year.  

This is a beautiful tree but there isn't much room under it for presents.  

But Christmas is about so much more than presents.  We celebrate the birth of the baby Jesus and give thanks for His sacrifice to forgive us for our sins.  

Remember this Thursday to share His light, joy, love, peace, humility, kindness, and generosity with others when you look at the star on the top of the tree.

Taco Tuesday!  Even Santa and the Reindeer like tacos.  They are getting excited about their trip and then a vacation.  

Do you put snow tires on and off all winter or do you leave them on?  So glad we don't get that much snow.  

I bet Santa is glad he flies above all the traffic.  In DFW every morning there is FREE parking around the metroplex.  

So if you are out and about this week please remember what this season is all about... sharing the love that Jesus has for every person and creature that He created.  

Monday is a wonderful day!  Did you buy the presents or wrap the presents?  I know you probably did both.  

I believe in Santa but only after at least 2 cups of coffee.  Have you ever dressed up as Santa Clause?  

Years ago, we would dress up for the Live Nativity for our church.  It was always a fun time.  

The month of December and Christmas is the best time of year for doing all kinds of things and making lots of memories.  

I wore an elf hat just a week or two ago at our Ed Jones Christmas Dinner and got hugs from some of our clients.  Whatever you do this week, share your love with others.  

Good Morning!  Next Sunday will be Christmas Eve.  Can you believe it?  

Will your house smell good every day between now and Christmas?  I love the smell of my cinnamon essential oils!!!

Are they kids swinging from the wreaths yet?  Or are they asking to open the wrapped presents under the tree?  

Are your cards in the mail?  I actually made mine this year with help from my friend Pam in Australia who sent me some giraffe designs.  You should have seen me trying to get the paper in the copy machine the right direction to print it as a fold over card.  

Are you getting snow already or do you want it to snow?  I hope you get your wish and have lots of fun playing in it and making memories!

Friday is finally here.  Kids get out of school for Christmas Break if they aren't already out, shopping will be real busy!  

You might get run over by a Reindeer!  Parents have to already have presents bought and wrapped unless you have kids that don't get up before noon,  

Time to find something fun for the kids to do this week before Christmas to keep them occupied and out from under the tree shaking presents.  

Do you and your family go caroling around the neighborhood or somewhere special?  

Sing it all day now with lots of Blessings & Hugs to go around!  

Why is Friday such a special day?  Thursday is now Friday Eve!  I like every day of the week.  Each day has its own uniqueness!  

The entire month of December is unique.  There is shopping, decorating, wrapping, etc. every day is fun and special.  I love giving all year long.  

Jesus and His love is all year long after all.  I love seeing the joy and surprise of an unexpected gift every month.  

Is there something special under your Christmas tree already?  I love the look of wonder on children's faces.  

I am not a very good decorator though.  I usually end up with a mess to clean up in every room.  Christmas is a time for peppermint, cookies, candy, cakes and all deserts!  Not for the pets but for husbands... oh that is every month too!
