Good Morning Wednesday! My day off and I will be outside watering plants this morning.
I saw this picture and what memories it brought back of just over 20 years ago when we lived in South Texas. I had a 3' tub planter of Bird of Paradise with lots of blooms that I left behind when we moved.
What? You left a plant behind? Yes, I knew it would not survive in this colder weather. It still breaks my heart.
Now before that Texas sun beats down on us again today, I really need to water the plants I do have growing and wilting daily.
After all, they are all lined up waiting for a refreshing drink this morning. Then there is the grocery list that is waiting too.
Seems like everyone in this house wants to be fed... dogs and humans alike.
Sunday is here and I will be working on Monday and Tuesday. I was so busy on Saturday that I didn't get to visit each of you but I did post a bulletin.
So it is a new week and I am still playing catch up. Can you believe this is the last week of June and that half this year is over?
When it comes to housework and trying to get things done that I don't like doing, I always want to run away.
But then in the middle of grumbling, you look around and the Blessings just are all around you.
Something so beautiful is right there in front of you and it puts a smile on your face.
OK, it was only a flower and maybe a hummingbird too but they both put a smile on my face.
Dropping by to say hello. Hoping all is well your way. All is good here and we are having some lovely weather. I will have the next 3 weeks off from work for vacation and I am so looking forward to it. Always take a break this time of the year to rest up before the busy season hits in late August through December. I usually have to work a lot of over-time during that time frame. Oh, aren't coons cute?? I have had one hanging around here for a couple weeks. Kept going under my trailer and hanging around my big bush. Haven't seen it the last couple days so don't know if it moved on or if someone trapped it. Anyway, you take care and enjoy your weekend~~ hugs, debijo
Are you glad its officially Summer? I keep thinking of cool mountains... Ha However, I am looking f'ward to cantaloupe and DH to his watermelon. C'mon crops! Happy Summer Solstice, Gayle:) Hope that trap arrives soon and varmit gets a new home. *hugs*
Hope you can corral that coon, Gayle:) Today is grocery day. Ugh. Wish a li'l genie would put them away for us. If you have plans for the day, have fun! *hugs*
Hard to believe peaches are being harvested and in li'l roadside stands now. Plus, first day of Summer is Wednesday. Geeeesh... where are the days going:) Hope you have a refreshing today, dear Gayle. *hugs* -di
Good afternoon:) Hope you spend a productive day doing something interesting; at least a chore you don't mind, Gayle:) And lookie, it's Friday Eve! 😁 Good luck on outsmarting a raccoon:) *hugs*
Good Afternoon and welcome to summer! My girls got back after their vacation trip to Myrtle Beach and all around the South East.
They stopped by on the way home to share pictures. So I have uploaded some new pictures on my home page. I am sure enjoying all the new pages on The Hill with cute and beautiful pictures. I don't change my main page but I do try to update pictures and hope you enjoy them.
I am hoping that all the fires in Canada have been put out now. Any fire is a scary time and I hope none of you were affected personally. It is time for me to start getting ready for work tomorrow and Friday. Be sure to check the bulletins on the days that I am working.
Share your smile and kindness with others. Blessings upon Blessings to you my friend!
Wednesday, half way through the week. Yesterday we had new AC units installed upstairs and outside. Today temperatures will begin in the 90's in our area.
The yard looks beautiful. Hubby got most of the yard edged and I got front and back mowed. The daily popup showers did not come near us but everyday there is a slim chance.
My strawberry plants have produced a few already this year. I gave one to Livvy last week and she cried all the way home for more. It was the only one at the time. I have shared with several other people since then including the one I dropped that Carly got.
Today is all about catching up on things around the house with a smile on my face. Maybe this and maybe that but probably not... if you know what I mean.
Now I am heading outside to check out the flowers and see who needs water the most. Also to see if I can get a picture of the Blue Jay that flew off as the camera was ready to capture him. Hummingbird feeders probably need new food too. Come sit for a while with me!
