Still waiting for it to warm up enough to go outside. We started at 37° this morning. Yesterday the winds were 20 mph and tomorrow they are supposed to be 26 mph with gusts.
I sure hope your weekend is not as windy as ours. The grass has been so wet this morning that dogs feet have to be wiped or you get a wet lap!
Dog? What dog? I'm the Easter Bunny. I did see 3 bunnies in our front yard on the Wyze webcam this past week. And so begins all the Easter Egg Hunts. Have a fun weekend!
Do you know how good it feels to be home today? I have at least 3 big loads of laundry to get done. I am sure I have a list a mile long.
It is a chilly morning, only 60's for highs and so I probably won't go outside until late in the day. Perfect day to read a book. Besides, the weekend will be in the 80's.
You are invited to come on over! Even stay for the weekend. I promised there won't be a lot of work going on here (and I know you believe me). Ok... toilets need scrubbing, many bags of mulch need spreading and just a couple of other things on my list like reading a book.
Honey has allergies too but I've never had them. He went to the docs today - good timing as we don't know if it's bad allergies or pneumonia but he's having a hard time breathing. He goes for x-rays tomorrow and then to the lung doctor on Monday. I couldn't go with him today as I was at the senior center making bunnies - male and female and didn't get home in time to go with him. I won't be able to go with him on Monday either as I'll have PT at the same time. Went to dinner with our Thursday nite group - went to a hibachi place - expensive but I love it there - besides good food, I love watching the guy but nd mix all the stuff on the grill - he even cuts up zzuchinni in small peices and pushes them off his spatchulas into our open mouths - so funny as most of us missed it but a couple got it on the first 'throw'. Have a wonderful evening and nite. Hugs, Wendy
Sorry to hear you had to go to a funeral Cheryl. Another gal here went to one also on Friday and has another in a few days. Was a beautiful spring day here and also tonite. Had the windows open this afternoon for a while as Rich was at a meeting. He has allergies and hates the windows being open, so I do it on the sly. Going to the docs tomorrow for his regular check up and I'll be going too. Hope your day is a happy one. Hugs, Wendy
Just caught the end of lightning about 1 am after the storms had passed. Early news last night reported one area that already had 12" of rain.
Our rain, downpour, lasted about an hour and we got 2". Last night we had our usual stream in the backyard. But this morning there wasn't even a puddle. We have been dry and are grateful for the rain. I love that it soaked right in.
I am a morning person and a night person. I love watching the sun come up every morning and listening for the "crack" of dawn, hurrying out to catch the colors that appear and disappear quickly. But I also love late night, watching the moon move overhead, feeling the cool breeze, and seeing millions of stars in the sky. What about you?
Guess what I saw yesterday and today? I cleaned out the feeders and put in fresh food and then it was nice enough, warm with not too much wind, to sit on the patio for a while. I have at least a couple of different hummers!
I am working Monday and Tuesday, so I have been extra busy this weekend working inside and outside playing catch up. Now of course, we watched Longhorn Baseball and Softball Friday evening, Saturday afternoon and Sunday afternoon too.
So stop by and I will be back by Wednesday to check on you again. After all, you are my favorite, next to the hummingbirds in my yard.
Happy weeend. Hope whatever you do is going to be productive as well a some fun time. It's a bit chilly here but the sun is shining brightly - a lovely 2nd day of April.
Surely April means Spring! I know it means showers as we are supposed to get rain on Monday and Tuesday. I just hope it means the temperatures won't drop into the 30's again.
I am so ready to put flowers in the yard and hanging baskets full of flowers in the trees. We still need to clean out several flower beds and buy red mulch for all of them.
I am anxious to see butterflies and hummingbirds pollinating and all the beautiful colors of Spring. With all that being said, I am heading to the yard and sending you lots of ...
I had a busy day going to lunch at the senior center then went milling around at a consignment place but nothing jumped out at us. Then we went to get some fruits and veggies and gave some to the neighbor as he does so much for Rich during the summer months. After that we went to dinner with a group of friends that we've been going out with for a long time. Glad to be home and resting as my hip has started hurting again and I don't get a shot til the 5th then it takes a day or two to take affect. So I'll be taking asprin while around the house and a motrin 800mg tomorrow before going out to the post for the nite. Have a great Friday Cherly. We only had a few sprinkles of rain this evening and I think it has blown out to sea. Hugs good nite, Wendy
Good Afternoon! It is almost Friday which means that it is almost the weekend. Well, it is the last day of March.
And before we know it, April will become May! Time flies the older we get and boy, there are days I do feel old. Ok, today may not be one of them. I am missing the warmer temperatures though as today is only 61°.
I am going to remind you to share your smile, send blessings & hugs to you, and leave you with words of wisdom...
