Well, are you getting ready for the weekend? Are you ready to relax? Will you be working in the yard? Or is it just another day? Today is the day the Lord has blessed us with for sure!
Whatever your plans are and wherever the Lord leads you, I hope you laugh and share your smile with everyone. After all, laughter is the best medicine! I have been crossing off things on my "to do" list today but have a few more to go.
So I am sending Blessings and Hugs and Kisses too! Enjoy your day and I hope you get everything checked off all your lists today and find some time to relax and play!
Cheryl, I am praying that the different cough medicine works much better!
Good morning friends, I want to tell you that I will be away for a few days ... I can finally visit the family! I wait for you on the way back. Happy weekend .... kisses
I hope it is a mystical, magical Wednesday for you and me! Who knows what the day will bring. I've already been to Rockwall to get gas in my car (lines were not too long at Costco unlike yesterday afternoon) and Braums for milk (they are a local business out of Oklahoma that only has stores within a certain radius that the trucks can deliver daily). We buy A2 Milk from them as they have the only certified A2 herd in the U.S. "Google" A2 milk. It works great for people that are lactose intolerant or at least it makes a big difference for me as far as not making mucus.
Yesterday I did a zoom call and it was a virtual tour of Pompei, Italy with a great tour guide. They are still discovering things buried in the volcanic ash. This is the third tour as we have already been to Venice and Barcelona. Hubby and I also met a friend for lunch. Diann and I exchanged things we had for each other. I had bought her some vitamins she couldn't find, NAC that she paid me for, and she gave me some cuttings from Airplane plant, Hoya, and Chocolate mint. The airplane and hoya that I had originally shared with her died in our freeze this year. So now I am off to pot plants and watch the hummingbirds because I have already made food, cleaned feeders and refilled feeders today.
I am working on making several different hummingbird fountain birdbaths. I will put the links to a couple that I think we can build. Robbie has a BUNCH of awesome videos to make these!

Besides, no telling who I need to share a smile with today!
A new baby was born at the Fort Worth zoo. The herd grew by 6'2". What a wonderful day Monday was! It was fun to celebrate Kay's birthday with friends and to visit. Then after watering most of my plants (you heard me right, water plants) because the extreme heat had them hanging their heads and after I sweat down completely, I came in and called my dear friend in Canada, Gloria.
As you can tell, we played on our Alexa Echo Show, on Messenger Video and on Zoom. I was showing her the different backgrounds I have in Zoom to use. Then it was time for the last Super Regional baseball game. Now the 8 teams are going to Omaha and playoffs for the #1 Champion of 2021 begin on June 19th.
In memory of my first friend, Cricket, on "the hill" who loved dolphins and has been having a Woo Hoo party with Jesus for many years now, I will send you Blessings & Hugs!
A busy start to the week for me. I have to pick up some birthday pizza for lunch with friends today. Tomorrow is a later lunch with a different friend because of a morning zoom tour to Pompei.
Last night was another late night but the good news is my Longhorns are going to the College World series in Omaha for the 37th time.
We got our yard mowed and trimmed; however the "feel like" temperature was 108. So now I'm off and running but...
to you today and every day. I have to go share my smile with everyone I encounter today and hope you will too.
Today is one of those days. Thought about mowing yesterday evening, but decided we would wait until this morning when it was cooler... bad decision!
That is what we woke up to today. The winds were very high (had to tie one of the wind chimes) but we only got 2/10" from it as it dissipated as it got near us or fizzled out as our weatherman often says.
Took this yesterday showing how much water we still have standing and how much we need to be able to mow. However, I got some other good pictures too.
Just look at the unusual clouds in the sky. This picture was from my front yard.
And this picture was taken from my backyard.
Anyway, I hope you share your smile and make some sunshine for everyone you encounter today. Almost time for college baseball playoffs to start.
You know what today is and what is coming very soon... the weekend is just about here!
even if you are retired ! Do you have something exciting planned? College baseball Super Regional playoffs start today, so you know what we'll be doing... watching as many games as we can get on TV. I am sending
Now it is time to get busy and get ready for the weekend! Share your smile with everyone in case someone needs it worse than you!
As always I am thinking of you and sending Blessings and Hugs to you! Looking forward to hearing from you!
Worked yesterday afternoon and ran errands this morning. I am starting Chicken and Dumplings now. Still don't know if we have company coming tomorrow or not.
Humidity was at 99% again early this morning. The ground is so saturated. So I think I will check the plants outside quickly and read my book while the laundry finishes. Smile! Someone is watching you!
So what are you doing this lovely Wednesday? I am working half a day. But I still have time to play! We only had about 2/10" of rain yesterday before the sun finally came out.
But there is still plenty of water around to play in as you can see in this reflection. So come on over and play or just sit and relax. But along the way share your smile!
Cheryl, our humidity was 99% this morning and Kyle Kid's was 100%. Come on over!
I ended up outside on the porch for several hours this morning. Why? Because it was raining lightly and raining and raining hard. Today will be about an inch of rain for us but my friends near me already have 2". I read, did FaceTime with a friend, and maybe took some videos of Hummingbirds and Cardinals. So I came in and downloaded between 74 and 102 pictures since June 1st to my computer. I am addicted!
It has been so very humid the last few days when the sun does come out for a bit. Our A/C has been on for well over a month. The latest news is that we are supposed to have at least 10+ days of no rain soon. The bad news is it will be in the 90's and above for most of that time. Well, from now until October probably.
So I am off to enjoy the rest of the rainy day and ask that you remind me in a few months of how much rain we have had now.
Guess what... our gauge had 1" of rain this morning. I got three beautiful videos of lightning in the clouds about 9:15 pm. While texting one of my friends last night, I said storms are all around us but looks like everything will miss us completely. At 11:30 pm I was outside again and got pictures of the stars shining bright above the storm clouds building all around us.
Around 3 am a small cell (not above that was at 11:30 pm) built up right next to us and came right over us when the bottom fell out and gave us our 1" in a very short period.
I keep emptying the trays under the potted plants but even them and my poor rose bushes (very few leaves) and other plants are not happy about the amount of rain they are getting right now, especially with the lack of sunshine. The sun is out but lots of cloud cover is around too. It has been months since the ground has dried out completely.
I grew up with 500 acres and cattle and we never complain about the rain and I'm not now. Because before we know it, we will be in a drought and people will have to hunt for hay to buy for the cows. So, I'm heading out with a smile to share with you on this beautiful and blessed Sunday.
