Blessings upon Blessings to celebrate today. Yesterday afternoon, my son in Flower Mound (an hour away) called me on FaceTime.
They were getting really nice rain. It was only 70° and it rained for 30 minutes or more.
One by one the girls all gave up and ran back into the house. Nicole and the dogs were the last group to leave. Wayne and I talked for 20 minutes or so watching and listening to the rain, the lightning, and the loud thunder. He said it was the loudest he had ever heard. We even saw a fire truck go past.
He called me back on FaceTime and the house that caught fire was 10 houses down from him on the other side of the street. It looks like the windows all blew out and the 2nd story was very damaged. The lady & daughter were not injured and neighbors ordered pizza, but last night they got a bunch more rain which probably did more damage. So friends, count your Blessings!
I pray you had as wonderful of a weekend as I did! The Texas Longhorns and the Cowboys both won. Today, I have already watered the backyard, 1000 steps, and fixed both of us a bacon, 2 eggs, tomato sandwich for brunch. But I want to share pictures from yesterday.
My grandson, Will, just woke up from a nap in this picture after a big meal at Saltgrass! Do you get sleepy after a big meal? Will is sitting in a chair and I am standing next to him.
In this picture, you can tell that he is 6'6" or so. Wendy is 6' and Bill is almost that tall. So you can imagine how he has to bend in half to give me a hug!
A very blessed day was had by all 5 of us. Wendy & I ran a few errands and then the guys met us at SaltGrass. Then Wendy and I sat on the patio for a couple of hours watching hummingbirds and talking while Rbt and Bill watched the Cowboy game as Will took a nap.
My goodness it is hard to say goodbye! Not only do they now live 2 hours away from us but with both being real estate agents, their life is non stop busy. Wendy's phone also rings constantly with people needing holistic consultations. I miss them so very much, FaceTime just isn't a real HUG!
What a cute graphic. We were back to 90 again today and still haven't had much rain at all but the cooler temperatures were nice. We really enjoy beginning the day in the mid 60's instead of near 80. Good luck with your projects!

Hello, happy Saturday!! Hope your weekend is getting off to a good start. I seem to be moving slow so far, trying to get motivated so I can tackle a few projects that need to be done before the cold rainy weather sets in. Seems the work never ends lol... Anyway, you take care and enjoy your weekend~~ hugs, debijo
Sunday is here and I am so excited! Our adopted family is planning a 2 hour one way trip to see us today. We already have plans for most of the day.
Can you see the smile on my face? My cheeks already hurt. Even though Wendy and I spent an hour on FaceTime Friday morning, she on her porch and me on the patio at each of our homes, it just isn't the same!
This has always happened to us when they are here, the soul retreat! Since they moved to the other side of the metroplex, we just don't visit in person as much.
Amazing how it makes us appreciate the little things even though we have never taken our time together for granted. Well, maybe when they lived 10 minutes from us!
We are all 5 blessed when they come for a visit and when they leave. I pray you have a Blessed Sunday as well.
We made it! Friday is here! I had a good day at work yesterday! I was very busy all day just doing lots of catch up for Jody.
Not sure how we can have so many rain clouds and get so very little. Not sure how they can predict rain every day for a week and each day change it to not a chance.
However, we are very thankful for each drop. 1/10" for each of the last 3 days. More will come in God's timing. The cooler temperatures have really been a Blessing!
Besides, now I can get out there and watch the hummingbirds and take another 20 videos for today! Not kidding either. They fascinate me!
