Saturday and Summer! We started our day at 70° or above. Yesterday was 95° and today should be 97°.
I have already watered the plants in the backyard. It takes about an hour. When you start out, you think, it isn't too bad out here. By the time you are through, you are dripping wet with sweat!
I have about 4 different colors of daylilies but I would love that orange & black Tiger Lily. Lilies are so faithful to come back year after year and they spread too.
Isn't it amazing the color that flowers add to our life? When I walk outside barefoot to do my grounding every morning, even on work days, the colorful blooms put a smile on my face.
Even at night they shine in the solar lights and the moon light. Some of them might sleep but some of them never close up and are there to greet you.
Even the weeds have a role in our life. Some, like dandelions, are very good for you health wise and their blooms really are pretty. I hope you see flowers today that put a smile on your face and that you share that smile with others.
Wednesday, half way through the week. Yesterday we had new AC units installed upstairs and outside. Today temperatures will begin in the 90's in our area.
The yard looks beautiful. Hubby got most of the yard edged and I got front and back mowed. The daily popup showers did not come near us but everyday there is a slim chance.
My strawberry plants have produced a few already this year. I gave one to Livvy last week and she cried all the way home for more. It was the only one at the time. I have shared with several other people since then including the one I dropped that Carly got.
Today is all about catching up on things around the house with a smile on my face. Maybe this and maybe that but probably not... if you know what I mean.
Now I am heading outside to check out the flowers and see who needs water the most. Also to see if I can get a picture of the Blue Jay that flew off as the camera was ready to capture him. Hummingbird feeders probably need new food too. Come sit for a while with me!
Hello, today is going to be a great day for YOU, you just have to enjoy all the little pleasures that surround you. I wish you a happy Wednesday. Enjoy what you have...
while what you want so much arrives. With love, from Maria, take care of yourself, big kisses
Oh my goodness and so sorry for the loss of your brother too. See we just never know what someone else is going through. 2023 was a bittersweet year for me as well. I was diagnosed with breast cancer and had surgery and radiation and my 2 daughters both got married last year. I had the surgery and went to Florida for youngest daughter's wedding then came back home and had 5 weeks of radiation then headed back down to Florida for my oldest daughter's wedding. What a busy year it was and that I made it through all the trips, etc lol. Whew. Sending gentle hugs to you and take good care. Jackie 🪻
Still trying to rest up before work tomorrow. Hope you had a blessed weekend!
So about 3 hours before Amy got here, I realized our Air Conditioner was not cooling. Our repair man came and we are going to have to replace the inside and outside units. At least he got it up and running for the weekend. Thank you Lord!
It is a good thing that I am working because this is going to be a pretty penny for a new AC. We have already paid for the materials for 100' of our fencing project but the rain is keeping them from being able to replace it right now.
God always provides, of that I am positive. Otherwise, I might be calling to see if you have room for us to visit you for a while. We are truly blessed and looking forward to whatever happens next. Now time for another nap!
Three hours sleep + 2 more. Now our family is gone. I was still texting at 2:15 am and awake at 5:30, with a nap until 8 am.
There are no words to tell you how much fun Rbt and I had visiting all day yesterday with Amy. Denise is like my daughter and we adore Logan and his girlfriend Megan.
Carly had so much fun with Logan and with Megan too. They would play tug-of-war and where did the toy go? So now with College Baseball on TV, it is time for us and the dogs to take a nap as they are on their 7-8 hour trip to South Texas and home to Alice.
We both know I probably won't nap anytime soon. But what a wonderful day off and weekend.
I am off today because my best friend since 3rd grade is here visiting for a couple of nights! It is a perfect 4 leaf clover kind of Friday!
There will probably be a lot of sitting around and talking about all kinds of things in this world that are going on now with our family and our friends over the years.
There will probably be a lot of flowers and garden talk and sharing of plants that we love.
So much to cover with Amy since it has been a while since we have been together to just talk about whatever crosses our "come and go" memory nowadays.
But when the day is over, we will have made new memories to cherish together and be grateful for our 65 years of being friends.
Hello my friend! have a nice, friday I wish you a day full of love and blessings. have your friday be great enjoy it your way with new smiles and happiness, kisses and hugs, for you Robert
