Hello dear friend, thank you so much for dropping by at my page and sent me a beautiful photo comments. Wishing you good health and a happy lifee. Kisses
So yesterday, I got new ColorStreet nails put on. So what do you think? Does this look like Easter? Here is a close up.
Today was a very busy day. Lots of time I don't leave the house for days, maybe even a week or more. Today I was out of the house by 8:15 and headed for Dr. Carey's office for Julie to draw my blood for my yearly checkup. Just getting through Rockwall and across the Lake Ray Hubbard bridge is a challenge. Almost considered "free" parking coming and going the 20 miles each direction. I did have to stop next door to the doctors office and get a hanging basket, a geranium and a couple of other plants. So it was after 10 when I got back home. Then it was off to Costco to return something and get a few things on our list... Ok I ended up with a lot more than was on the list.
Costco has the most beautiful roses. Back home to unload and put things in the freezer. Then I was off to Royse City to run the car through the car wash as I was having trouble seeing out the backup camera and rear window. I did much better only getting things on the list at WalMart. After a stop at WhatABurger it was back home for the 3rd time.
Of course, the best part of coming home is the reception you get when you walk in the door. Everybody is so happy to see you. And that is just the way I feel when I come to "The Hill" and read your comments. BLESSED!
Good Grief! I am very tired of the winds and they are COLD out of the far north! Would someone please shut the door?
Come on Easter! Don't you agree that after Easter the freezes are usually over? I am so anxious for warmer weather to be able to work outside and enjoy getting my Vitamin D from the sunshine.
I sure hope your weather is better than ours has been and that you are out there sharing your smile and enjoying this Spring.
This was us yesterday. The wind was blowing so very hard in every direction. I didn't think the umbrella would hold up on the short trip to the mailbox. Sun is supposed to shine but it is MOSTLY cloudy so far today. We were blessed with 1.5" of rain. I hope you saw the links I posted in a Bulletin. So many people with homes burnt to the ground from fires and others with no roof or not much left from tornadoes. Please keep all in your prayers.
Springtime in Texas! Wildfires, High Winds, 80° to 30° temperatures, 2" Rains after Ice Storms. Somehow we got the yard mowed & bagged all the dried grass. Well, not all of it because dogs come in the doggy door covered in dried grass after rolling around outside. Then on a calm wind day, we got the fertilizer spread before the next rain.
This weekend we watched college baseball, softball and boys and girls basketball (Longhorns won their matches). Also the dogs all four got a bath and they are thrilled or not.
Sure hope you are enjoying Spring weather and the weekend. Share your Smile and know that I am sending you lots of
Stormy looking weather yesterday evening. Wednesday we were above 80° and working just a little in the backyard, I broke a sweat. Thursday we got the yard mowed; all the dead grass bagged up and ready for trash pick up.
Of course it is much cooler today. And we still have to put fertilizer down probably this weekend before we have a chance of rain on Monday. I am anxiously awaiting April when I should be able to move plants out from under the plastic into the trees and the yard.
You know... head 'em up and move 'em out. Yes, right now I think I am ready for summer. Yee Haw!
Are you wearing green? I am wearing orange (big surprise) with maybe a hint of hidden green.
I know! I can wear a hat. Do you have a hat to wear?
OK! Everybody looks like they are ready to go to the St. Patrick's Day party. Do we have to bring something to eat? I want something green to drink, maybe green tea!
Do you know what time you will be here to pick me up for the parade and the party? Which pair of dancing shoes are you wearing? May I have this dance?
Midway through the week and washing lots of muddy dog towels. Yes, we forgot to put the doggy door on first thing this morning.
Do you have any magic up your sleeve? Or anything magical planned for St. Patrick's Day tomorrow? Will you be wearing green?
Cats may be finicky eaters but I bet they don't come in with muddy feet or mud caked between their toes! Thank goodness it is warm and they can stay outside until we get everything vacuumed and mopped. Then they will all get a bath and we will start the entire process over again.
It might be just one of those days! Do you know what to do to change that? Share your smile with others.
After our 1" of rain we are smiling except when the dogs come in the doggy door with wet and sometimes muddy feet. Then they do something cute and irresistible and make us smile again.
The weekend is gone, spring forward is done, and Monday is half over. Time flies when you are having fun. Wonder what Ole Mother Nature has in store for us this week. Tonight we have a chance of rain... YIPPEE and medium size hail... HISS
So today we are going to laugh and share our smiles with everyone we encounter. It is a great day to count our blessings and your friendship is among them!
Winter just won't give up! Wednesday evening there were lots of Robins in the yard. Today we will not get above freezing for 24 hours or more. And the on and off rain along with the 20 mph winds with gusts to over 40 mph make it very miserable out there.
I might get started today turning the clocks forward as I have about 20 to change. Thank goodness others automatically change.
So it is a perfect day for Chicken & Dumplings! 5.5 lbs of chicken cooked with garlic, pepper, ginger and tumeric and ready for soups, parsley, carrots and chopped up chicken put in to simmer before the biscuits are put on top. What are you having today? Come on over soon or tomorrow for leftovers as it is better each day.
The Okapi, also known as Forest Giraffe, Congolese Giraffe or Zebra Giraffe, is not related to Zebra. The Okapi and Giraffe are the only living members of the family Giraffidae. They are about 4.9' tall, weigh 440 to 770 lb, and about 8.2' long. It can be found at the Fort Worth zoo and is from the deepest parts of the Democratic Republic of Congo rainforests.
So many people on my prayer list right now... friends and family and friends that are like family. So please today share your blessings with others.
I know our high Friday will only be around 40 but the birds are all thinking it is Spring. Robins, cardinals, sparrows and so many more are everywhere in yards and on feeders... waiting for Hummingbirds to return.
Hope that puts a smile on your face and you will continue to share it with others.
Yesterday turned cloudy and windy. We covered plants and moved others in the garage. I took this picture this morning to cheer everyone up today.
Then I ventured outside into the cold just long enough to get this dreary wintery picture and thought next week we will be on DayLight Savings time. Woo Hoo! It will only be 5 am instead of 6 am. As I was coming back in, I looked at the calendar... 42 years today we have been married. We both forgot. Glad I remembered before friends started reminding us.
So now it is after noon and I still don't have any groceries marked off my list. Even worse, I had a call this morning and agreed to work tomorrow at a different office in Rockwall. What? got into me? Since the weather is cold and damp (drizzle not reaching the ground), Hubby talked me into waiting until Wednesday when the temperatures will be warmer. Ok, he twisted my arm.
Maybe the wind won't be as bad by then either. So now I am off to find lunch in our kitchen... by chance did you leave something there? Well, I am sending Blessings and Hugs to you no matter.
Surprise! I didn't get everything done on my list... yet. Thursday, I never got dressed... that's right! But I got laundry done and my nails changed.
Guess what color? OK, it is an orange shade with glitter. Anyway, on Friday my hubby had an appointment with our Neuromusculoskeletal Osteopathic Manipulative Therapy doctor (mine was for next Thursday) but they had a cancellation and she saw me right after his appointment (we both go in together anyway). By the time we picked up our bulbs for our makeshift greenhouse from the wholesale distributor and back to Rockwall it was past lunch time so we ate at the Cotton Patch. Next we were 6th in line of all 8 lines for gasoline at Costco. Then we had 5 things on our Costco list and came out with 10 things. By then we were tired and sore from the doctor so we went home. Since we don't go to town on weekends unless something major happens, we will finish our list next week. However, rain and cooler weather is heading our way again but it shouldn't look like this...
I hope! hehehe We both are feeling much better after Dr. Carey manipulated our entire body. We are both walking better, standing straighter and hurting much less. So... are you ready for a race? I win!
