Good Morning Shirley: Boy do I ever envy you your birds. Being a bird lover myself i know the joy of seeing/feeding/photographing 'em. Was a member of Bird Studies Canada and did a lot of reporting of sightings. Now, since we sold our house, can only watch them fly by.
Hi Shirley. My knee is continuing to heal, and I'm no longer on pain medication. My range of motion is improving as I continue to do exercises daily. Stairs are my biggest challenge. I can walk some without a cane now, except for stairs. I'm grateful I had the knee replacement now. I'm relieved I had the surgery done at the beginning of the year before the lockdown for the coronavirus hit us. Then all elective surgeries, like knee replacements , were put on hold. The new knee feels different from my old knee. It is getting used to being in my body, and I am used to how it's different from my old knee......Maybe, kitty can teach me some dance moves.Sending hugs and smiles.
HELLO DEAR FRIENDS, THE SUN IS SHINING AND IT'S 75 DEGREES. JUST A PERFECT DAY. MY HUBBY HAS ALREADY MOWED OUR GRASS AND OUR DAUGHTERS. HE WAS REALLY ON THE BALL. MY CATS ARE SO ENJOYING THE DECK. WE HAVE SO MANY BIRDS FEEDING AND THEY ARE BIRD WATCHING. THE ORIOLES, CAT BIRDS, CARDINALS AND PURPLE FINCHES LOVE THE GRAPE JELLY. I HOPE YOUR DAY IS BEAUTIFUL TOO. GOD BLESS. LOVE AND PRAYERS, SHIRLEY
Wishing you a good day and hope the week is doing fine for you. Having the typical hot summer weather here with some scattered showers this week. Take care and keep safe.....George
Hi Shirley. Sorry to hear about the health problems you've been having. It seems like when a person becomes a senior the health issues just keep on coming. It is wonderful news that you're going to become a Great Grandmother. That is a special honor. I had a great grandmother who lived to be 101. Her name was also Susan.May you have a summer filled with cheerful, uplifting surprises.
Attracting over 1.4 million visitors annually, Keukenhof Gardens is one of the Netherlands’ top destinations. Seven million flower bulbs are planted in the garden’s 32 hectares by 40 gardeners each year, and in the spring the entire landscape erupts in a colorful explosion of yellow daffodils, fragrant hyacinths and gorgeous tulips. Open for an eight-week period between March and May every year, the Keukenhof Gardens can be accessed by bus from Amsterdam Airport Schiphol, or via car and bike from the nearby town of Lisse.
Good morning, sorry you can no longer travel. And the love of my life passed away a year and and a half ago. Are you ready for the new week? First full one of Summer.
Dearest Jackie, hello my sweet friend. How are you tonight. I went to the doctor today and he is sending me to the pain clinic and for therapy. It is a nerve again in my back. Just pray I don't have to have surgery again. He said it was safe to go to therapy. I will wear a mask. God Bless and keep you. stay safe. lots of love and prayers, shirley xooxox
Hi Shirley that is good you are going to go for therapy now. I know you were set to go and then with the virus were not able too. Good you will wear a mask too. They are mandatory here in NY state for who knows how long. I do hope and pray you will not have to have surgery. God bless you too and stay well and happy. Love and prayers, Jackie
Hello dear friend--Today was real hot day. We went to church in morning. Because of COVID-19 we have to wear mask to church. We only do sermon now. Use to be after church would gather and have coffee but that is out. After not having church for over 2 months because of virus decided would do it this way. We are there for each other.---Have a good week. Hugs Helen
Hi Shirley. No, I didn't lose my husband, I lost my mother. She died the day after my 65th birthday. I was with her when she passed away in a nursing home, from congestive heart failure. She was 92.It was very strange how it happened. I was getting readyto leave and said goodbye to her, and then was going to fly back to NC. Then, I said, after I got back home,Donnie and I were going to drive back up to Buffalo, NY and stay there for a while and visit her daily. Before I got to the front desk, a nurse came and got me and said she was gone. The nurse went into her room as I had walked out. She had just suddenly stopped breathing.....Donnie and I did return and we planned her funeral, and found a realtor to help us sell her house. It was no easy thing selling a house long distance. While we were gone, the two homeless people Donnie invited to live with us looked after the house and cats.......Shortly after we got back to NC, our 20 year old gold tabby died of renal failure. He had been sick for months and then suddenly took a turn for the worse. Shortly before Christmas we made an emergency visit to the vet and had him put to sleep.....In late January, I had a knee replacement. The recovery, in the early stages, was awful. The pain meds barely took the edge off the pain and I felt sleeply all the time. Then came the coronavirus and the physical therapy sessions I had scheduled were cancelled. I had to recover on my own. I found some videos online for knee replacement and did those.Initially, no matter how I moved it hurt. I couldn't even sit in a chair for long because it hurt to bend the knee. I am much better now and can do stairs too.I am back online as well. ...How are you doing?
A very good day to you. Was on the computer typing away this morning when our power went out for 1 1/2 hours so delayed my message. Had a good rain come in which we need. Enjoy your weekend and stay safe with a hug.....George
