Our annual 3-day Bratwurst Festival begins today. I hope the weather is good. I try to avoid it any more - too much traffic, people, and getting a good parking place is more than I want to deal with! I do go to a local church's drive-thru for my yearly bratwurst sundae. No, it's not ice cream. LOL It's mashed potatoes, sauerkraut, crumbled bulk bratwurst, cheese, sour cream, and an olive on top! This is being a very pleasant day. Went out for breakfast this morning with a friend which we try to do each month. Always such at treat for the both of us. I am having a wonderful cool day so soup is brewing in the slow cooker . I so do like my slow cooker and or crock pots.
Of course I am sipping on a cup of coffee. french vanilla and enjoying every drop of it as I chit chat with you. Smiles Gloria

Hi Shirley-- We have been staying pretty much in 80's and hymid most of the time. We did have one mybe 2 days in the 70's. That seemed good. This past week had my massage. I have back problems and the massage helps a lot. The lady I go to has been doing it for many years and always has worked in Chiropractor office. Then the next dah husband and I got haircuts. Got mine really short. Thursday evening was bible study. So have been keeping busy.***Hope all is well with you and loved ones. Have a blessed week. Hugs and love Helen

Hello my friend, we are having another beautiful day. It is only 74 degrees. Very cool breeze blowing. The kids are swimming in the lake and I don't know how they stand it. It is too cold to be swimming. It got down to 55 degrees last night and that makes the lake very cold. Our lake has very cold springs in it and wow,, when you swim past one, it is very cold. I remember all those days when the kids were little. I loved to swim I was the first one in and the last one out. I would go swimming in September. Wow, the water would be cold. Boy did you bring back some good memories for me Shirley of when i grew up in Florida and oh how much i loved to swim. I too was the first one in and last one out. Even when the water was cold I would go in and splash around and I would warm up. I would try to convince others to do this too with me and they did not quite believe me haha. Swimming was the ultimate best part of my childhood. Going to the beaches was fun too but for me pools were the best. I could see exactly what was in there haha. I had a childhood friend who had a deep in ground pool and at the bottom and sides they had pictures of fish and big whales painted on them. They looked so real and it was so much fun.
