Hello my friend, we are having another beautiful day. It is only 74 degrees. Very cool breeze blowing. The kids are swimming in the lake and I don't know how they stand it. It is too cold to be swimming. It got down to 55 degrees last night and that makes the lake very cold. Our lake has very cold springs in it and wow,, when you swim past one, it is very cold. I remember all those days when the kids were little. I loved to swim I was the first one in and the last one out. I would go swimming in September. Wow, the water would be cold. Boy did you bring back some good memories for me Shirley of when i grew up in Florida and oh how much i loved to swim. I too was the first one in and last one out. Even when the water was cold I would go in and splash around and I would warm up. I would try to convince others to do this too with me and they did not quite believe me haha. Swimming was the ultimate best part of my childhood. Going to the beaches was fun too but for me pools were the best. I could see exactly what was in there haha. I had a childhood friend who had a deep in ground pool and at the bottom and sides they had pictures of fish and big whales painted on them. They looked so real and it was so much fun. Well, it's been a busy few days with the Rt. 30 Byway Annual Garage Sales going on. A huge garage sale from one side of the state to the other on the old 30 highway. I've never done this but it sure does create a lot of traffice in town! Housework on the agenda today as I am having company on Tuesday - from China! So hope you have a great day and keep cool!!!! Happy weekend to you . Really hot here with temps in 100's for several more days & heat index this weekend up to 112. Too hot to get out & walk so using exercise bike for awhile. School starting next week so know it's going to be hot standing there at the school crossing but going to have plenty of water ready. Enjoy your week & take care.......George
