Hi Shirley. A kitty is love.We lost one of bundles of Love (Bodell) to renal disease. He was my computer cat. He would sit on the floor next to my chair while I was online. He would meow when he wanted attention, and he usually got it.. Enjoy your summer!
I am still working on my gardens. I got my window boxes done. The wooden ones were totally rotted, so I used PVC 1"X8"X4'. 4 of them and got some dirt in & have arranged some of the plants still in their pots until I know where I want them all to go. The veggies are growing great, and still have to transplant the squashes into the final growing tubs.
It is wonderful you have able to see your daughter. I am visiting my son here in Potterville, Mi. The weather was just beautiful today. Not hot but very comfortable. I live in Tn. and the weather is a little less humid when it is hot. Hope you have goodnight. Hugs, Juanita
Good Afternoon, we are having very cool weather. It is wonderful. Just perfect. How are you doing? Ican't believe we are in August already. Fall is almost here and I am not ready for it. I want more Summer. My kids have been over a lot these past few weeks and I haven't had much time to go to my sites and post. It has been wonderful to have my daughter as she lives out of state. I just don't get to see her enough. Our kids are so wonderful and so good to me and my hubby. I am truely blessed. I hope you have a wonderful day. God Bless you. Hugs, Shirley

On the hill a little late this morning. Just got home from swim aerobics. The water feels so good as we are definitely in the dog days of summer. Will be spending time on the porch reading my book from an author friend. This one is called Burden of Proof by Diann Mills. Diann was a school mate of mine and now lives in Houston. If you get a chance, check out her books in bookstores or on Amazon. Have a great day! Blessings, Nancy

A long time ago God had a great many burdens that He wished to have carried from one place to another on Earth. He asked the animals to lend a hand, but all of them had excuses for not helping: the elephant was too dignified; the lion, too proud; and so on...
Finally the birds came to God and said, "If you will tie the burdens into small bundles, we'll be glad to carry them for you. We are small, but we would like to help."
So God fastened upon the back of each bird a small bundle, and they all set out walking across the plain to their destination. They sang as they went, not minding the weight of their burdens at all. Every day the burdens seemed lighter and lighter, until the loads seemed to be lifting the birds, instead of the birds carrying the burdens.
When they arrived at their destination, they discovered that when they removed their loads, there were beautiful wings in their place. Wings that enabled them to fly to the tree tops and soar through the sky, closer and closer to God.
The burdens we carry for others, as well as ourselves, become wings of the spirit, lifting us to new places and bringing us closer and closer to God.
