It's a beautiful day somewhere! Maybe at your place. OK, rain is beautiful and it has been raining non stop here since early morning. Yes, it is a beautiful day here!
See... what do you think? It is a beautiful day. Now the question is, what to do today? Well,
Ok, I may not do exactly that today. After all it is only 56 now. But if the sun comes out today or tomorrow, I will most certainly be outside checking plants and seeing what to get into.
Lee, you have been such a good friend for so very long here. I am praying for you and appreicate all your prayers.
Thursday is almost over but the great news is... my drain is out and the Doctor said he was impressed with the healing. No pathology report back yet. The cyst or tumor was stuck to the eyebrow nerve. But he tested the nerve after removal and said it was good and will come back. Because it was stuck to the nerve and my history they are running extra tests. He checks for the reports multiple times a day and will call the minute he gets it. So now we wait.
We got 1/2" rain last night and rain is moving into our area now. Tomorrow the chance of rain is all day. So I am waiting for Saturday to go outside and empty potting soil out of pots with no plants coming back, moving pots around and planting a few new things. Hope you can come join me soon!
i really want to start my garden, but the weather here is so unpredictable...in fact we still might get some snow. i've started a few plants in the house...waiting patiently..lol
We made it to the middle of the week. It is a dreary day here and a little cooler. A perfect day except... I really miss the sunshine and Vitamin D. Tomorrow I will get my drain out and I am very excited about that.
I have a couple of strawberry plants from last year and they both have blooms and strawberries on them. Since hubby is putting out weed and feed today for the possibility of rain the next 3 days or more, I guess I had better get busy too.
I fell asleep at 8:30 but it was a good thing because at 3:30 this morning we had thunder and lightning in the distance. We only got 2/10" of rain but the dogs were upset just enough that there was no more sleep.
The bluebonnets are in full bloom and I was lucky enough to get a video with a big bumblebee and a smaller bee both pollinating a bluebonnet.
Things that survived the freeze are all starting to show signs of green coming out. Then there are a few like the iris above that if you miss a day looking around the yard it will be gone the next day. We do have a bit of sunshine today again but more storms are expected tonight. Now it is time for me to treat the wound with essential oils and rest up so the nerves will regenerate. Share your smile with everyone you meet.
You know I'm OK with Monday, but I did think this was cute. Already got Apple support to fix my iCloud storage this morning; finished my scriptures and ready to go out and watch for my hummingbirds. Sat in the sun for a while yesterday since we are to have clouds for the next week or 10 days with slim chances of rain.
I even got my first video of my Ruby Throated Hummingbird yesterday. Hubby moved some of the larger plants that require a dolly to move them for me and I watered everything since rain is a scattered chance at best.
So I'm off to watch for birds and enjoy the day. Not happy about waiting a week, a month, or longer (year) for the nerves in the face, eyebrow, and eyelid to rejuvenate. My ear is still totally numb and part of my face and I'm sure part of my neck. But hey, no pain. Praise God. Thanks again for stopping by as it really does put a smile on my face.
Everything went so smoothly! The experience was better than we could have ever expected as far as surgery goes. In recovery, the girl said, "You are the most alert person I've ever had." Every worker at Baylor Hospital was happy and caring! Some have been there 40 years. We got home earlier than expected and so traffic wasn't as bad as we thought it would be. I am doing VERY good. Haven't needed pain meds (2 tylenol yesterday evening). I do have a lot of numb areas on my face, eyebrow, and ear area as they removed a cyst or tumor on the salivary gland. So I have stitches under my ear and down the neck area. The doctor will remove the drain tube behind my ear on Thursday. But I really do feel good except for where the drain tube is and it doesn't really hurt, just a nuisance.
and for the prayers and comments. I am headed back to my chair, dogs, and college baseball on TV.
I am having surgery on Friday afternoon to have the salivary gland that has a cyst removed. So it will be late afternoon before we get back home. Nothing to worry about just has to be taken out. And on Friday of all days when traffic in DFW is the worst when Rbt has to drive! So please just say a prayer and I'll let you know how it went in a day or two as soon as I feel like it. We need rain too but don't want storms.
We made it to the middle of this week. It is another very windy, dreary day for us. If we can't have sunshine at least we should get rain! But we will take what comes our way.
Just stop and smell the flowers; that is, if there are any petals left on the plant. So today is just odds and ends getting done here, mostly inside. But as always, I am sending lots of blessings your way. How are you feeling?
A very good day to you and hope the week is doing good for you. Getting summer time here now. Next three days getting into the high 80's and low 90's. Hope we get some rain soon. Stay safe and happy....George
Got errands done and the wind is blowing something fierce. So no working in the yard; in fact, it was hard to open the car door.
Just wanted you to know I was thinking of you. Sure hope you are having a terrific day and hope you know that I always look forward to a message from you.
Jesus Christ is the Passover Lamb. His blood stands guard at your door. The destroyer cannot come into your house to get to your family because Jesus is at your door!
Jesus is the son of God!
I receive Him as my Lord!
Amen!
We watched and listened to many sermons and songs this Easter morning and am sharing the blessings with you. Then we worked in the yard and cleaned out lots of dead plants that are not coming back. But what a joy to see the plants that remain reaching up out of the soil and some even blooming. Just want to say thanks for all the Easter comments and for being such a faithful friend.
good morning, i hope all is well with you. it's been quite chilly here for the last week, but today close to 70...yea! but this is michigan and our weather could change. so not expecting these temps to last. wishing you a lovely tuesday..hugs..marykay
Well, Monday has rolled around again, so let's make the most of it. I wanted to share our weekend pictures.
Before and After
And that was the easy part! We don't have bulk pickup in the City of Fate... so we have to cut brush up in a 3x3x3 bundle. We are only allowed 4 bundles a week and we have about 10 from one tree. That is why we paid someone to haul off the green bundles from the tree that blew over. And extra bags of grass cuttings from spring & fall when we use the bagger is the same way as they only allow one extra bag on top of trash can and one to the side.
Hubby is washing cars today. We wanted to mow this morning but the grass was way too wet and it wasn't even dry enough by 10 am. So on to other projects. Made fresh hummingbird food since I have seen a hummer at the feeder. Also got orchids and Christmas cactus watered with ice cubes. So how is your week shaping up? Hope you are feeling better and had a Blessed Palm Sunday.
