I have been away from this awesome site for a very long time...My life has changed in so many ways since I first joined this wonderful group. I spent about three years as the one and only caregiver for my husband who developed Alzheimers, suffered a major heart attack and the various other conditions that seem to go along with this horrible disease...the cruelest disease I've ever encountered. During this same time I lost my 96 year old Mother who was my best friend. I'm sure that none of you want to hear me ramble on this subject forever but I will be happy to hear from anyone who cares to know anymore about my "new" life. He has been gone for about two years now and I am slowly but surely learning that life does go on and how much I need friends.

I have had a wonderful life...married young, traveled all over the US and a lot of Southeast Asia.Still have a lot of "gypsy" in me and love to travel but finally settled not too far from home! My greatest desire in life now is to live somewhere in Western North Carolina.
I have 2 great kids and 4 wonderful grandsons. Since I've been in here my oldest grandson who is now 28 presented me with my very first ever great grandson! Looks like there will be no baby girls in my future!!

Regardless of everything else, I Still LOVE Humor! I don't know how I would have gotten through these past few years without it.

Negative people, most of today's news! HURRICANE SEASON!!
I don't dread Hurricane season so much anymore as this escapade I've been on eventually brought me to central Mississippi. Now I just watch and pray for those still in our coastal areas. I would like very much to get back down there or as was my original wish, live in the mountains of Western North Carolina.
