My favorite all time TV show was/is "F Troop".
MUSIC
Listening to my granddaughter play the piano or the flute.
Listening to and singing gospel.
I played in a Country/Western band with the brother of Silverfox and 2 or 3 other guys for several years. I played the standard as well as the steel guitars and helped with the singing.
I play my electric guitar each Sunday morning in our praise band at church.
I also take my acoustic guitar out to our local VA Hospital before my church starts and lead in about 3 hymns and sing a special for the Vets on the 5th floor, been doing that for over 30 years now and loved every moment.
I also like to listen to guitar pickers such as "Chet Atkins, Roy Clark, etc." play instrumentals since I play and pick the guitar.
BOOKS
The Bible -
I don't read novels much any more but when I did these were some of my favorites. Any of the Zane Gray novels, of which I have 49 volumes
The three volumes in "The Bounty Trilogy" -
I don't care for mysteries.
I like adventure stories that includes dogs, horses etc.
MY FAVORITE COLOR
My favorite colors are earth tones and good old red, white and blue.
MY FAVORITE FOOD
I like just about any food but chicken fried steak and gravy with all the trimmings is about on the top of my list.
I also like Mexican style food.
ICE CREAM, any flavor, home made, store bought, you name it, is an all time favorite.
I never met a cake, pie or cookie I didn't like, A LOT!!!

ABOUT ME
I was born many moons ago in a little log cabin in the piney woods of East Texas close to Lufkin. My dad was a "share cropper" so we moved around a lot following the crops.
I am a born again believer in Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior. If the Lord tarries His second coming I want those who might come to my funeral to sing my two favorite hymns, Amazing Grace and Victory in Jesus, because without His Grace there can be no Victory.
I have been married to a wonderful lady, "Silverfox" for over 50 years, our 50th came up last October 31st.
I was a city fireman for some 17 years, attaining the rank of Lieutenant,then with the US Postal Service for 30 years as a dispatch and destribution clerk, as well as servicing stamp vending machines, retiring from the USPS in 1996.
My wife and I have 3 great children, with 3 wonderful in-laws, also 3 GRANDchildren who are the apples of our eyes - They all know Jesus Christ as their personal savior - All our kids live within a few miles of us for which we have been blessed and grateful.
WHAT I LIKE
Any one with a knife in one hand and a piece of wood in the other.
Going to church to worship my Heavenly Father,(His Son and my Savior Jesus Christ) and playing my guitar in the "praise band"
Phonies - Most politicians because they tell you whatever they want you to hear to get your vote. Liars, cheats, and other dishonest people. Sounds like I'm still talking about more politicians. I guess some of them are honest but they are as scarce as "hens teeth".
HOBBIES
Wood carving, I teach carving classes at the two Texas Woodcarvers Guild events each year, I'm a life member of the TWG - I also have a web site over which I sell the instruction books my wife and I have written, and published, on how to do wood carving -
I have done some flint knapping and painting in oils and acrylics, no water coloring.
I have done leather tooling in the past.
And Geocaching with my best friend who happens to be my "wife" who also happens to be "Silverfox" - Who also happens to be a Proverb 31:10-31 lady.
I KNOW I AM PUSHING IT A LITTLE BIT BUT I CANT HELP IT... THIS WAS SUCH A PRETTY PICTURE I HAD TO SEND IT......... I AM REALLY GETTING INTO THE HOLIDAY SEASON.... AM ABOUT TO GET MY CARDS WRITTEN OUT AND READY TO SEND OFF NEXT MONTH...WILL START TO SHOP FOR THE GRANDKIDS SOON....IT WILL BE FUN....
