Obama Wins…Liberty Loses

Oh the fool we play when we fail to heed the warnings of history. For those of us who study Biblical Theology, Philosophy, and History, there is a voice that shouts from the roof top. It is a voice that cries warning in a city filled with people, and yet the city is so clouded with false voices that the inhabitants cannot hear.
Throughout history there have been tyrannical leaders. Many of them were great orators. The ability to frenzy up an audience does not make one a worthy leader, nor should it ascribe automatically that his policies will equal prosperity of liberty. History teaches us that most nations have been adverse to the principles of liberty. The power of government, no matter how much sincerity one may have in trusting it, is always a power that consumes self-determination. This is what makes the election of Obama so detrimental to our nation. Obama has preached platitudes that have moved millions to the trust in government power. Those who have fallen for such platitudes are either uninformed or worse yet, have rejected our founding principles.
I believe it to be true that most of the people who voted for Obama are simply ignorant of the values of liberty. They have been raised in a politically correct environment that led them to believe that America should be “fair,” and that “fairness” is defined in terms of 1960’s radical “social justice.” This term is simply a term used to soften what it really is; socialism (Marxist thinking). This is why Joe Biden said that being forced to pay more taxes in “patriotic.” This is also why Barak Obama said he wants to “spread the wealth.” The socialist ideology of Barak Obama came out unmistakably in a radio interview in 2001 on Chicago public radio. He made his world-view known when he said that the Constitution was flawed because it did not mandate “economic justice.” He went on to say that the Warren court was not radical in that it “did not break free from the essential constraints that were placed by the founding fathers in the Constitution.” He said this was a tragedy and that the civil rights movement should have focused more on changing that through “community organizing and coalitions of power through which you bring about redistributive change.” Break free from the constraints of the Constitution of the United States of America?
His socialist world-view has been made clear throughout the last two years. We must face reality; this country knowingly chose to elect a socialist. We have lost our fundamental Constitutional foundation. The House, Senate, and White House are now controlled by the most liberal, unconstitutional group of radical 1960’s thinkers in our history.
Obama won because of a number of reasons. He won because the economy is bad and people are worried. He won because the Republican Party totally stabbed the Constitution in the heart with numerous increases in government power grabs and spending. He won because President Bush has misrepresented the term Conservative by his use of the word while acting like a drunken sailor on a credit card shopping spree. He won because he is an excellent orator, but most of all, he won because America is no longer a Constitutional republic. America is a nation in peril not because of economic problems, not because of terrorists, not because of energy prices, and not because the world does not like us. These certainly are problems, but they are problems we can overcome with our founding principles. The real reason that America is in peril is that we as a nation have traded the principles of the right to life (50 million babies murdered), liberty (freedom of thought, religion, parental authority), Pursuit of personal property (unconstitutional government imminent domain land grab) for socialism (government redistribution of wealth), government controlled speech (hate speech legislation), and government indoctrination of our youth (social engineering propaganda in the public school system). The reason we are in serious peril is mostly due to the fact that we as a nation have rejected our God and replaced Him with the gods of money, government, and covetousness.
At this point many of you may assume I supported McCain. Your assumption is wrong. Sen. McCain voted for the 700 billion dollar government bailout. McCain is a proponent of amnesty of illegal aliens. McCain is no Constitutional conservative. I voted 3rd party because the Republican Party has also embraced socialism, less than the Democrats yes, but on a steady course to catch up with them. How can McCain call Obama a socialist when he voted for the same 700 billion dollar bail out?
It is time to stand for principle. We all know the saying; “Freedom is not free.” It has the cost of vigilance in watching for the attack of its enemies. There will always be someone looking to take your God given Constitutional rights. History teaches us that Government is the most vicious enemy of liberty. Socialism portrays itself as fair and caring with the idea that it will not allow you to fail. It exalts itself as your protector and provider and yet it cannot be. The truth is that without the possibility to succeed or fail, there can be no liberty! Government exacts its pound of flesh. It will never be satisfied with its power. Government is just as George Washington said it was; “Government is not reason; it is not eloquent; it is a force. Like fire, it is a dangerous servant and a fearful master.”
The election of Barak Obama is the culmination of 50 years of liberalism. It is the triumph of radical socialistic ideology spawned in the 1960’s. It is evidence that America, barring a national revival of founding principles, is doomed to become another socialist nation intertwined with secular globalists. We will lose our freedom of speech, religion, conscience, and self determination as we are increasingly entangled in global laws declared by people who we have not elected in the United Nations.
For those of you who voted for Barak Obama, I remind you of the old saying; “Be careful what you wish for, you may just get it.” History is ripe with examples that government increase always means liberty decrease. God have mercy on us for we have turned from the fear of the Lord which is the beginning of wisdom to the folly of the government worship which is the end of liberty.
