I am a sucker for old musicals and comedies but a good adventure/action film is also enjoyed.

Some Police but prefer Westerns especially John Wayne and Maureen O'Hara films.

Horror films and farces like Dumb and Dumber are OUT!

Almost everything from Classical to Rock, leaving out Acid Rock and that inane thing they try to call music which is just yelling and talking with the boring banging in the background.. Let's Wrap this up but not Rap.

I play a little of several instruments: piano, violin, viola, tympani, bells, bugle calls, old hi-fis, etc.

Cookbooks from cover to cover; Biographies;True stories; Adventure;and even Children's Books. I receive several magazines which are cheaper these days since so much is available on line so I always have something to read when time permits. Of course many of those are cookings mags!

Technicolor

What ever is on my plate or in the pot. Okay, okay, maybe I can at least add that I am definitely a carnivore but usually I am the one who brings the side dish to the potluck. I have so many salad and veggie recipes from which to choose. So again: what ever is the mood of the moment--- So please come join my group The Salad Bar and share YOUR favorite salad recipes!
NOW you can also hike over to the new group SOUPS ON and there you can get your fill of great soups from our friends on THE HILL. So savory or sweet fill up a bowl; you can rest your feet and also your soul.

Miss Kitty is not happy with Santa. I guess he heard she was scratching the furniture.

Definite Signs of Winter in my yard which were not totally appreciated...as depicted in this snow scene gesture!

Retired Cop from Anchorage, Alaska (where I lived for 38 years); Involved in volunteer work with Lioness & Grange, and I do volunteer teaching for students at the local college; especially those seeking their GED which include many who are learning to speak English.

I was married twice (briefly) but since that was over 45 years ago, I consider myself very SINGLE.

I have 1 RESCUE, Cattle-Dog (Red Healer)/Corgi mix dog, and 3 cats that keep me busy picking up hairballs and dog toys scattered around the house. If you come to visit, you are bound to leave with pet hair on your clothes.

Besides mowing and bouncing over mole hills in the 2 plus acres I live on, I am kept busy with pulling and digging weeds which leaves little time for much else!
I also spend lots of time and $$ feeding the that move in every spring/summer and only wish I had bought stock in C&H Sugar long ago!

In August 1989 I had a Liver Transplant and have been putting it to good use ever since much to the surprise of many doctors and all. Hopefully, after celebrating my 28th year since my transplant, it will keep working and let me continue to enjoy life.

One of the things I DO like With olives, pickled: onions, green beans, and asparagus. I call it a Martini Salad

Oh, and I love all that there is to learn and share on computers and the Internet (which I of course invented).

Asking for my Favorite whatever! My likes are wide and varied and my "favorite" depends on the mood of the moment.

Cooking (collecting recipes and recipe books), Mowing (may as well call it a hobby since it takes so much of my time); Composing Newsletters for my Lioness Organization; writing;needlework;---well, again, I have many hobbies and it again depends on the mood of the moment.

I have in the past accumulated several collections of items: when I was young and had no money--matchbooks; when I worked and made money and thought I was establishing an estate, I collected Art, mostly wildlife and other Alaskan artifacts both art prints and ivory carvings; stamps; Liliput Lane Miniature houses; Charles Wysocki prints and puzzles to amount to over 60; and now as I have aged and run out of money and space to put everything, I seem to be busy collecting aches and pains.

Oops I must have forgotten to add photography.. I especially like taking photos of wild animals and nature. Be sure to check out My Gallery to see a few of my wild times.
