Dances with Wolves, Last of the Mohicans, Passion of the Christ, On the Beach, nature documentaries especially.

Laughter, the voices of the ones I love, the wind whispering through the trees, and water flowing over the rocks in a stream, magnificent thunder, and birdsong. I love Christian music, Native American music, rock (Pink Floyd, Alan Parsons, Collective Soul, Tony Carey, Planet P Project), classical music of all kinds, some country (Brooks and Dunn, Rascal Flatts), some opera, but no jazz!

Bible
The Stand, by Stephen King
Jean Auel's Earth's Children novels
Greg Bear novels
Mary Higgins-Clark
F. Paul Wilson
Pournelle and Niven
I have a home full of books, too many to list...I'm an avid reader.

Blue, for the sky, blue jays, peacock feathers and blue velvet.

And green for green grass, ferns, and trees, mossy rocks surrounded by bubbly, babbling brooks; frogs, and green velvet.

lobster,prawns and prime rib

I am thankful for goodness, for special people, for my family, for God's creation! I am in awe when I sit quietly and watch what surrounds me...what glory! Love Autumn and the blessed rain, the leaves falling, and the crisp morning and evening air...I love that time of year! The nights are still balmy, and the air smells so sweet. I am thankful for each moment, and the people put into my path!! Wishing abundant blessings to you all! Thank you for you...

I'm a native Oregonian and Native American...Anishinabe (Chippewa, also known as Ojibway) and Cree, Scottish, Irish, and French. I've green eyes, and a fair complexion of the Irish, but I've got deep chestnut colored long hair from my Native American heritage. I'm married to my childhood sweetheart, best friend, helpmate, my knight in shining armor, my hero. We have three children (2 boys, and 1 girl) and six grandchildren (3 girls and 3 boys). I formerly worked for the Children's Protective Services, where I was an award winning employee honored for excellence in service. I'm somewhat shy at first, but I warm up well. What you see with me is how I really am. I am honest, caring, empathetic, and giving ~ I wear my heart on my sleeve. And I like to stand up for the downtrodden and underdogs. My spirit yearns to be able to help all in need...both people and animals.

I love nature...trees, ferns, waterfalls, cozy green havens in the forest. I love my husband and son's photography! (hubby took the photo I've put as my background)I love animals of all sorts. I fancy being a lady Dr. Doolittle. We've got two huge long-hair German Shepherds...so protective, and yet so fun! We've have multiple cats, of which most are rescues, who own us and rule the roost, staking claim to our favorite chairs and spots in bed, play WWF on the bed at three in the morning. We have twenty-eight pet chickens, too. I love our new property for all the little critters that live here...chipmunks, hawks, eagles, deer, elk, bear, cougar, coyote, badgers, and woodpeckers and a myriad of wild birds. I love to sit quietly and watch and listen to them. I love people whose smiles begin on the inside and end up on the outside. I love genuine, honest, kind, and caring people. I love to help other people when I can. I do not quest for riches for myself, but only to be able to help other people who are deeply in need of food, shelter, water, medicines, and caring...that is the only reason I would wish to be rich. I am truly moved by the 'pay it forward' principle!! I wish everyone practiced living by the Golden Rule!

Bigots, racists, negative hateful people, abuse in ANY form (child, elder, sexual, animal, domestic violence), dishonesty, conceit, ruthlessness, chaos and division. I don't like to see people in need being shunned, and I don't like people who pretend to be in need...I think that is very shabby and they should be highly ashamed!

Reading, computers, traveling, bird watching, nature watching in general, camping, star gazing, making my family know and feel they are loved.
